the Learning Process and Outcomes in Motorcycle Maintenance Courses. Thesis,
Department of Technology and Vocational Education, Graduate Program, State
University of Surabaya. Supervisor: (I) Dr. Warju, S.Pd., S.T., M.T.
Supervisor: (II) Dr. Theodorus Wiyanto Wibowo, M.Pd.
The research was
conducted to analyze (1) the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of
video-based learning videos using Video Scribe in the subject of Motorcycle
Engine Maintenance, (2) the differences in learning outcomes between
video-based learning videos using Video Scribe and PowerPoint presentations,
and (3) the differences in the quality of the learning process between
video-based learning videos using Video Scribe and PowerPoint presentations.
This study is a Research and
Development study using the ADDIE model with a quantitative descriptive
approach. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, observations,
documentation, and tests. The validation of the quantitative research instruments
used Expert Judgment. Specifically, the student response questionnaire
instrument was followed by a validity test using Pairwise Correlation with
results ranging from 0.586 to 0.866, which was deemed valid, and a reliability
test using Cronbach's Alpha with a result of 0.797, which was deemed reliable.
The research results are as
follows: (1) The validity of the video-based learning media using VideoScribe
was proven to be valid/appropriate for use after being validated by experts,
with media validity of 92%, content validity of 95%, and language validity of
93%. The effectiveness and practicality test results by experts yielded a score
of 90%, indicating that the media can be used in larger groups. (2) There is a
significant difference in learning outcomes between VideoScribe-based
educational videos and PowerPoint media in the subject of Motorcycle
Maintenance. This is proven by the Mann-Whitney test for the posttest (after
treatment), which yielded a significance value of 0.001. (3) There is a
significant difference in the quality of the learning process between
video-based learning videos and PowerPoint media in the subject of Motorcycle
Engine Maintenance. This result is proven by the Mann Whitney test for the
posttest (after treatment), which obtained a significance value of 0.001.
