PROFIL KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DALAM PENYELESAIAN MASALAH MATERI HUKUM NEWTON

PROFILE OF STUDENT'S CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS IN PROBLEM SOLVING NEWTON'S LAW MATERIALS

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam penyelesaian masalah materi Hukum Newton. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dan metode pengambilan data berbentuk tes tertulis dan angket keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diisi oleh siswa. Hasil yang telah diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan memakai metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Babat kelas X yang berjumlah 69 siswa. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil yaitu profil keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X masih tergolong sedang, namun ada yang masih dalam kriteria rendah. Indikator interpretasi memiliki presentase 26%, indikator analisis 33%, indikator evaluasi 36%, indikator inferensi 31%, dan indikator eksplanasi 13%. Kemampuan penyelesaian masalah siswa masih tergolong sedang dengan presentase dibawah 50%. Berdasarkan data tersebut ditarik kesimpulan bahwa profil keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penyelesaian masalah masih tergolong sedang. Tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis juga berpengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah , semakin baik pemecahan masalah siswa maka profil keterampilan berpikir kritisnya semakin tinggi juga

The sudy was conducted to determine the profile of student's critical thinking skills in problem solving in Newton's Law material. This research is a descriptive study and data collection method is in the form of a written test and a critical thinking skills questionnaire filled out by students. The results that have been obtained and then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected at SMA Negeri 1 Babat class X totaling 69 students. This study obtained the results, namely the critical thinking skills profile of class X students was classified as moderate, but some were still low criteria. The interpretation indicator has a percentage of 26%, the analysis indicator is 33%, the evaluation indicator is 36%, the inference indicator is 31%, and the explanation indicator is 13%. The problem solving ability is classified moderate with a percentage below 50%. Based on these data it can be concluded that the profile of student's thinking skills and problem solving is still classified as moderate . The level of critical thinking skills also affects problem solving, the better the students' problem solving, the higher the profile of their critical thinking skills.
