ABSTRACT
THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLATFORM-BASED EDUCATIONALS GAME AS
LEARNING MEDIA ON THE SUBJECT WORKSHOPS
WORK AND ENGINEERING DRAWINGS X INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OF COURSE IN
BLITAR’S STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 1

This educational
research is based on the observations results carried in the State Vocational High School 1 in Blitar
which conclude that there is a problem not maximizing benefit of learning media
which can supporting in a independent
learning process.
In the learning
process there are still many students whom grade in Workshops Work and
Engineering Drawings subject was below
the expected result. Because of this
obstacle, a learning media that could improve the student’s grade is a
necessity. Therefore researchers have
developed platform-based educational games as learning media.
The main goal of
this research is to produce a worthy learning media. The worthty that has
qualification in terms of validity, effectivity, and practicality.
The research is
done using ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implemention, Evaluation)
method, which has five main stages which is: (1) Analysis stage, (2) Design
stage, (3) Development stage, (4) Implementation stage, and (5) Evaluation stage.
The subject of this research is the students from grade X Industrial Electrical
Engineering of course in Blitar’s State Vocational School 1 with 36 students.
The trial stage of the product is implemented using One Shot Case Study method.
The results gained
from this research for the qualification level of the educationals game terms
of validity is declared as very valid, with rating level of 87,7%. In terms of
effectivity, which measured using a posttest, resulting in tvalue of 7,817 >
ttable of 2,030 using significance value of 0,05, with conclusion
that the average grade of the students is more than or equal to the expected
grade. And then, in terms of practicality, the learning media is declared as
very practical, with rating level of 85,9%.
What the result, it
is allowed to concludes that the learning media produced a platform-based educationals game of Workshops Work and
Engineering Drawings is qualified to be used in learning process in terms of
validity, effectivity, and practicality.
