This study aims to develop Plato_Pro learning media to improve self-efficacy and mathematics learning outcomes of sixth-grade elementary school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were sixth-grade students of SDN Sawotratap 1, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, validation questionnaires, and pre- and post-tests, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively.
The results of the study indicate that the developed Plato_Pro media meets the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. From the validation results, media experts obtained an average score of 75% and material experts 92%, including the valid category. The practicality aspect is shown by the teacher's response of 80% and student responses of 90%, the implementation of learning is 85.5% (average practical category). The effectiveness of the media is proven through the N-Gain test pre-test and post-test obtained an average score of 0.70 (high category) and an increase in self-efficacy from an average of 2.32 to 2.84. Self-efficacy data is not normally distributed so it is checked through the nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank test resulting in a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, indicating a change in student self-efficacy when using Plato_Pro. Normally distributed learning outcomes are checked through the T test with a significance value of .000 (<0.05) indicating a change in mathematics learning outcomes after using Plato_Pro media. The responses of teachers and students also showed a very good category, and were reinforced by the results of interviews with teachers and observers who stated that the Plato_Pro media was easy to use, flexible, interesting, and able to increase self-efficacy and student involvement in the learning process.
Based on these results, the developed Plato_Pro learning media meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research implies that simple interactive media can be used as an innovative alternative in mathematics learning, particularly for proportion story problems, while also strengthening numeracy in elementary schools.
