Pengaruh Emerging Technologies Melalui Digital Entrepreneurship terhadap Circular Economy di UMKM Surabaya

The Influence of Emerging Technologies Through Digital Entrepreneurship on Circular Economy in Surabaya’s MSMEs

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh emerging technologies terhadap circular economy melalui digital entrepreneurship pada UMKM di Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan 140 responden yang merupakan pelaku UMKM di Surabaya yang telah mengadopsi teknologi digital (seperti AI, cloud computing, fintech, and e-commerce) dan menerapkan prinsip circular economy.Analisis statistik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) dengan software SmartPLS 4.0.

    Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa emerging technologies berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap circular economy. Emerging technologies juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap digital entrepreneurship. Digital entrepreneurship berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap circular economy. Digital entrepreneurship mampu memediasi hubungan antara emerging technologies dan circular economy secara signifikan.

    Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digital entrepreneurship menjadi peran penting dalam mendorong penerapan circular economy di UMKM Surabaya di tengah gelombang transformasi digital. UMKM di Surabaya disarankan untuk terus aktif mengadopsi teknologi baru dan mengembangkan kemampuan kewirausahaan digital untuk meningkatkan kontribusi terhadap circular economy.

    This study aims to analyze the influence of emerging technologies on the circular economy through digital entrepreneurship in Surabaya’s MSMEs. This research is a quantitative study using a survey approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 140 respondents, who are MSME actors in Surabaya that have implemented digital technologies (such as AI, cloud computing, fintech, and e-commerce) and apply circular economy principles. Statistical analysis in this study used SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with SmartPLS 4.0 software.

    The research results prove that emerging technologies have a positive and significant influence on the circular economy. Emerging technologies also have a positive and significant effect on digital entrepreneurship. Digital entrepreneurship was found to be positively and significantly related to the circular economy. Digital entrepreneurship significantly mediates the relationship between emerging technologies and the circular economy.

    The research implications indicate that digital entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in promoting the implementation of a circular economy in Surabaya's MSMEs amidst the wave of digital transformation. MSMEs in Surabaya are advised to continue actively adopting new technologies and developing digital entrepreneurship capabilities to enhance their contribution to the circular economy.
