APPLICATION OF ANIMATION VIDEO LEARNING MEDIA IN THE SUBJECT OF GEOGRAPHY INDONESIAN CULTURAL DIVERSITY MATERIAL ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF CLASS XI STUDENTS OF SMAN 12 SURABAYA

One of the problems faced by a country is education, the role of teachers is very important in the learning process, so teachers are required to have extensive knowledge and be able to utilize modern technology. In reality, teachers are still not fully able to apply interesting learning methods. This causes students to get bored easily and not be able to understand the material provided by the teacher due to lack of student participation in the learning process. The results of interviews with the Geography teacher at SMAN 12 Surabaya showed that learning in class The solution to overcome this requires the use of animated video learning media to involve students being imaginative and innovative. The aim of this research is to analyze 1. the feasibility of animated learning video media in the geography subject Indonesian Cultural Diversity Material on the learning outcomes of class Indonesia, and 3. Analyzing the effectiveness of geography learning on Indonesian Cultural Diversity material by applying animated learning media in terms of student learning outcomes.
This type of research is quasi-experimental quantitative research with a non-equivalent control group design. Tests, documents, and questionnaires are used to collect data. Class XI IPS 1 and class XI IPS 2 were the research subjects. The N-Gain test and paired sample t test were used for data analysis.
The results of this research show 1. Animation video learning media is in the appropriate category because it can improve student learning outcomes. 2. There is an increase in student learning outcomes measured through the paired sample t test with a sig value. (2-Tailed) of 0.0000 < 0.05, which means there is a difference and there is an increase in the application of animated video learning media. 3. The average N-Gain value for IPS 1 class is 0.56 and IPS 2 is 0.47, which is in the medium / effective category to help improve learning outcomes when using video learning media.
