Siswa Tunarungu umumnya mengalami hambatan berbahasa, terutama dalam memahami informasi auditorial yang mengakibatkan perbendaharaan kata rendah sehingga kurang memahami isi bacaan atau informasi tekstual. Maka dari itu diperlukan solusi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Melalui pembelajaran yang berfokus pada informasi visual salah satunya metode Shared Reading merupakan suatu pembelajaran membaca yang interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh metode Shared Reading dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman. Dalam hal ini khususnya membaca pemahaman mengenai ide pokok suatu cerita bahasa Indonesia
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis penelitian pre-eksperimen dan rancangan penelitian one group pre-test – post-test design sample dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa tunarungu kelas V yang berjumlah 8 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik tes dengan teknik analisis data statistik non parametrik menggunakan rumus uji wilcoxon match pairs test.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data statistik non parametrik menggunakan rumus uji wilcoxon match pairs test diketahui Z hitung yang di dapat yakni 2,521 lebih besar dari pada Z tabel yakni 1,96. Sehingga hipotesis hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima. Hasil analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaaan metode membaca Shared Reading terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa tunarungu kelas V di SDLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.

The hearing impairment caused the speaking ability less results in a lack of aspects of the development of speech abilities so that it can affect the language skills of Hearing Impairment students. One of the obstacles that will be experienced by students in their education period is that students will have abilities that are below average in understanding Auditorial information, so that language information such as the vocabulary obtained will be small. The Shared Reading method brings interactive learning activities to Hearing Impairment students. This reserch had purpose to describe the influence of the Shared Reading method in learning reading comprehension. In this case, especially reading an understanding of the main ideas of an Indonesian story.
This research used a quantitative approach. The type of pre-experimental research and used the research arrangement was one group pre-test-post-test design. The subject of this research was hearing impairment students class V numbering 8 people. The research location was in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. The technique of data collection was in the form of tests and the technique of analysis statistic non parametric data applied and the formula of wilcoxon match pairs test..
Based on the results of non-parametric statistical data analysis using the Wilcoxon match pairs test , it was known that Z counted was 2.521 it was greater than the Z table value with a critic value of 5% (two-sided test) which is 1.96. So the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The results of the data analysis can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of the Shared Reading reading method on the reading comprehension ability of the fifth grade hearing impairment students in SDLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.
