NARASI AGRESIVITAS PEREMPUAN DALAM FILM YUNI PERSPEKTIF TEORI BERKOWITZ
Penelitian ini berjudul “Narasi Agresivitas Perempuan dalam Film Yuni Perspektif Berkowitz” yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk agresivitas fisik maupun verbal yang ditampilkan oleh tokoh perempuan dalam film Yuni (2021) karya Kamila Andini, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi munculnya agresivitas tersebut melalui perspektif teori agresivitas Leonard Berkowitz. Film Yuni dipilih karena merepresentasikan realitas sosial yang dialami perempuan muda di Indonesia, khususnya terkait ketidaksetaraan gender, tekanan budaya patriarki, dan keterbatasan pilihan hidup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis naratif. Data penelitian berupa dialog, kutipan, serta adegan dalam film yang relevan dengan indikator agresivitas fisik maupun verbal. Proses analisis dilakukan dengan menelaah konteks naratif film, mengklasifikasikan bentuk agresivitas, serta menafsirkan faktorfaktor penyebabnya berdasarkan kerangka teori Berkowitz mengenai stimulus aversif, emosi negatif, dan frustrasi-agresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk agresivitas perempuan dalam film Yuni dapat dikelompokkan menjadi dua, yaitu (1) agresivitas verbal berupa bentakan, sindiran, hinaan, penolakan, hingga ungkapan sarkastis; dan (2) agresivitas fisik berupa tindakan mendorong, menjambak, merebut, hingga menolak secara simbolik. Faktor yang memengaruhi agresivitas tersebut meliputi pengalaman emosional yang menekan, diskriminasi gender, tuntutan budaya patriarkal, serta kondisi lingkungan yang memunculkan frustrasi. Agresivitas tidak hanya dipahami sebagai bentuk kekerasan, tetapi juga sebagai reaksi pertahanan diri dan simbol perlawanan terhadap norma sosial yang mengekang. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa film Yuni tidak sekadar menampilkan narasi tentang konflik perempuan dalam lingkup domestik dan sosial, tetapi juga menegaskan bagaimana agresivitas menjadi sarana ekspresi, resistensi, sekaligus strategi perempuan untuk memperjuangkan kebebasan, identitas, dan hak menentukan jalan hidupnya. This research is entitled “Narrative of Women’s Aggressiveness in the Film Yuni: A Berkowitz Perspective”. The study aims to describe the forms of physical and verbal aggressiveness displayed by female characters in Kamila Andini’s film Yuni (2021), as well as to analyze the underlying factors that trigger these aggressive behaviors through Leonard Berkowitz’s theory of aggression. The film was chosen because it reflects the social realities faced by young women in Indonesia, particularly regarding gender inequality, patriarchal pressures, and the limitations of life choices. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a narrative analysis approach. The research data consist of dialogues, quotations, and scenes from the film that are relevant to both physical and verbal aggressiveness indicators. The analysis was conducted by examining the narrative context, classifying the forms of aggressiveness, and interpreting their causes using Berkowitz’s framework of aversive stimuli, negative emotions, and the frustration-aggression hypothesis. The findings reveal that women’s aggressiveness in Yuni manifests in two major forms: (1) verbal aggressiveness such as shouting, sarcasm, rejection, mockery, and scolding; and (2) physical aggressiveness including pushing, hair-pulling, grabbing, and symbolic gestures of resistance. The contributing factors include emotional tension, gender discrimination, patriarchal demands, and environmental conditions that provoke frustration. Aggressiveness in this context is not merely violence, but a defensive reaction and symbolic resistance against social norms that restrict women’s autonomy. Thus, the research highlights that the film Yuni not only depicts the domestic and social conflicts of women but also illustrates how aggressiveness functions as a form of expression, resistance, and a strategic response for women to fight for their freedom, identity, and the right to determine their own life choices.
