THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DISPUTE IRRATIONAL BELIEF TECHNIQUES TO INCREASE SELF EFFICACY IN CAREER SELECTION OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan teknik dispute irrational beliefs untuk meningkatkan self efficacy dalam pemilihan karier siswa SMA. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian pre-eksperimental design dan rancangan penelitian one group pretest posttest. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 6 siswa dengan skor Self Efficacy terendah, diambil dari populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sambit. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang disebarkan melalui Google Form. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon, yang setelah dianalisis didapatkan data terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor pretest terhadap posttest setelah mendapatkan perlakuan berupa konseling kelompok teknik dispute irrational beliefs. Dari hasil tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa teknik dispute irrational beliefs efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan self efficacy pada siswa dengan cara mematahkan irrational belief yang ada. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam mengatasi masalah terkait.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the dispute irrational beliefs technique to increase self-efficacy in choosing a career for high school students. The research was conducted using a quantitative research approach, with the type of research being pre-experimental design and one group pretest posttest research design. The sample used was 6 students with the lowest self-efficacy scores, taken from the entire population of class XI students at SMAN 1 Sambit. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed through Google Form. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test, which after analyzing the data, there was a significant increase in the pretest score against the posttest after receiving treatment in the form of group counseling technique dispute irrational beliefs. From these results it can be concluded that the dispute irrational beliefs technique is effectively used to increase self-efficacy in students by breaking existing irrational beliefs. This research is expected to be a reference in overcoming related problems.
