Literature Study: The Role of Teachers for Sexual Education Services
for Mentally Disabled Adolescents
Pelayanan pendidikan seks dipandang sebagai salah satu kebutuhan yang perlu diberikan kepada remaja, terlebih saat memasuki usia pubertas,tanpa terkecuali remaja tunagrahita.Pemberian layanan pendidikan seks pada remaja tunagrahita penting untuk menghindarkan remaja tunagrahita dari pelecehan dan perilaku seksual yang menyimpang. .Guru berperan penting dalam pelayanan pendidikan seks tunagrahita karena memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk pelayanan pendidikan seks remaja tunagrahita. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran guru dan bentuk layanan pendidikan seks yang diberikan pada remaja tunagrahita. Metode yang digunakan kajian literatur yang diperoleh dari 10 jurnal dengan fokus bahasan tentang materi pelayanan pendidikan seks meliputi mengenal bagian tubuh laki-laki dan perempuan, menjaga kesehatan alat reproduksi, mengenal batasan pertemanan dan cara mengekspresikan rasa suka pada lawan jenis dengan teknik pengumpulan data dokumentasi. Hasil analisis kajian literatur menunjukkan empat hal utama yang perlu guru perhatikan dalam melakukan pelayanan pendidikan seks remaja tunagrahita yaitu penggunaan media, pemilihan topik materi, peran yang guru kaitkan selama pelayanan pendidikan seks, dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelayanan pendidikan seks. Artinya bahwa guru memiliki peran yang beragam dalam pelayanan pendidikan seks diantaranya sebagai informator, organisator, motivator, inisiator, dan fasilitator. Bentuk pelayanan pendidikan seks beragam, mengintegrasikan melalui mata pelajaran agama, pramuka, program bina diri dan kelas tambahan.

Sex education services are seen as one of the things that need to be given to teenagers, especially when they start entering the age of puberty, and mentally retarded teenagers are no exception. The provision of sex education services for mentally retarded adolescents is considered important to prevent them from sexual harassment and deviant sexual behavior. Teachers as one of the people who play an important role in mental retardation sex education services because they are considered to have knowledge related to sex education. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of teachers and the form of sex education services provided to mentally retarded adolescents. The method used is a literature review with documentation data collection techniques obtained from 10 journals with a focus on discussion of sex education service materials including knowing the parts of the male and female bodies, maintaining the health of the reproductive organs, recognizing the boundaries of friendship and how to express love for the opposite sex. The results of the study show that there are four main things that teachers need to pay attention to in providing sex education services for mentally retarded adolescents,namely the use of media, the selection of material topics, the roles that teachers take during sex education services, and the obstacles faced in sex education services. Teachers have various roles in sex education services including as informers, organizers, motivators, initiators,and facilitators. There are various forms of sex education services, for example integrating with religious subjects, scouts, self-development programs and additional classes.
