Informal Sector Strategies on Maintaining Businesses During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Lamongan District

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan adanya pandemi Covid-19 pada sektor informal di kabupaten Lamongan. Bagaimana perubahan yang dirasakan sebelum dan saat pandemi Covid-19, apa saja strategi yang digunakan para pelaku sektor informal untuk mempertahankan usahanya supaya tetap berjalan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dan melalui wawancara terhadap informan yang berprofesi sebagai pekerja sektor informal di kabupaten Lamongan. Sektor informal harus bertahan dalam keadaan pandemi Covid-19 untuk tetap produktif dan menghasilkan omset, walaupun jauh dibawah omset sebelum adanya pandemi Covid-19 ini. Dengan manajemen keuangan usaha yang terencana, tetap membuka toko baik fisik maupun non fisik, dan memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi sektor informal di kabupaten Lamongan tetap bisa hidup

This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the informal sector in Lamongan.  What changes were felt before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, what strategies were used by informal sector workers to keep their businesses running. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods and through interviews with informants who work as informal sector workers in Lamongan. The informal sector must survive the Covid-19 pandemic to remain productive and generate turnover, even thought it was far below the turnover before the Covid-19 pandemic. With planned business financial management, keep opening physical and non-physical store, and using the social media as a promotion tools, informal sector in Lamongan still can survive amidst the pandemi.
