Implementasi Otomasi Perpustakaan dalam Meningkatkan Layanan Perpustakaan di SD Al Hikmah Surabaya
Implementasi sistem otomasi perpustakaan merupakan inovasi dalam kemajuan teknologi informasi di perpustakaan melalui aplikasi e-sekolahku SD Al Hikmah Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis: 1) Implementasi otomasi perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan layanan perpustakaan di SD Al Hikmah Surabaya; 2) Kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi otomasi perpustakaan; dan 3) Faktor pendukung dalam implementasi otomasi perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan layanan perpustakaan di SD Al Hikmah Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis data menggunakan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan uji kredibilitas, uji transferabilitas, uji dependebilitas, dan uji konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, implementai sistem otomasi perpustakaan SD Al Hikmah Surabaya dijalankan melalui tiga aspek yaitu pengorganisasian yang menempatkan pustakawan sesuai dnegan tugas dan fungsinya, interpretasi melalui petunjuk teknis dan pelaksana dalam melaksanakan pengadaan, pengolahan, dan sirkulasi, dan penerapan sistem otomasi perpustakaan yang dijalankan melalui aplikasi e-sekolahku. Kendala yang dihadapi pada implementasi otomasi perpustakaan, yaitu: pemadaman listrikdan jaringan internet yang tidak stabil sehingga menghambat proses sirkulasi pada sistem, dan kesalahan dalam menginput data yang menyebabkan ketidaksesuaian buku pada sistem dengan yang ada di rak, serta beberapa kendala yang muncul pada pengembangan sistem otomasi seperti kesalahpahaman pustakawan akan perkembangan sistem teknologi informasi perpustakaan, proses penganggaran yang lama, belum terdapat aturan baku secara nasional, dan kurangnya kerja sama terkait sistem otomasi perpustakaan. Faktor pendukung implementasi otomasi perpustakaan, yaitu sumber daya manusia yang terus diupgrade pengetahuan dan keterampilannya, teknologi informasi yang terus berkembang, dan lingkungan organisasi yang mendukung pengembangan sistem otomasi perpustakaan serta faktor pendukung lain yang mensupport jalannya sistem, antara lain komitmen pengelola perpustakaan yang tinggi, dukungan pimpinan, tersedianya anggaran pengadaan hardware dan software, dan terdapat sistem administrasi untuk mengatur, mengontrol, dan menyakinkan sistem otomasi tetap berjalan memberikan layanan perpustakaan dengan baik.
The implementation of the library automation system is an innovation in the advancement of information technology in the library through the e-school application at Al Hikmah Elementary School Surabaya. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze: 1) Implementation of library automation in improving library services at Al Hikmah Elementary School Surabaya; 2) Obstacles encountered in the implementation of library automation; and 3) Supporting factors in the implementation of library automation in improving library services at Al Hikmah Elementary School Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data analysis uses data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data collection uses participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The validity of the data in this study was tested for credibility, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the library automation system at Al Hikmah Elementary School Surabaya is carried out through three aspects, namely the organization of placing librarians according to their duties and functions, interpretation through technical and executive instructions in carrying out procurement, processing, and circulation, and the application of a library automation system that run through my e-school application. Constraints faced in the implementation of library automation, namely: power outages and unstable internet networks that hamper the circulation process in the system, and errors in inputting data that cause incompatibility of books on the system with those on the shelves, as well as several obstacles that arise in the development of the automation system. such as the librarian's misunderstanding of the development of library information technology systems, the long budgeting process, there are no national standard rules, and the lack of cooperation related to library automation systems. Supporting factors for the implementation of library automation, namely human resources whose knowledge and skills are continuously upgraded, information technology that continues to develop, and an organizational environment that supports the development of library automation systems as well as other supporting factors that support the running of the system, including high commitment of library managers, support leadership, the availability of a hardware and software procurement budget, and an administrative system to regulate, control, and ensure that the automation system continues to provide good library services.
