Redesain Kamus Ondhâgga Bâsa sebagai Pemahaman Tingkatan Bahasa Madura
Design of the Ondhâgghâ Bâsa Dictionary as a Learning Medium for Madurese Speech Levels for Students of SMAN 1 Bangkalan
Bahasa Madura memiliki sistem tingkatan bahasa (ondhâgga bâsa) yang penggunaannya di kalangan generasi muda cenderung menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang Kamus Ondhâgghâ Bhâsa sebagai media pembelajaran tingkatan Bahasa Madura bagi siswa SMAN 1 Bangkalan, dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penggunaan tingkatan bahasa tersebut serta kurang menariknya kamus konvensional. Penelitian menggunakan metode Design Thinking melalui tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Kamus dirancang dengan gaya visual modern pop art berwarna vibrant (merah, hijau, biru) dipadukan elemen whimsical melalui ilustrasi karakter keluarga, dilengkapi contoh percakapan dan mini games. Hasil rancangan kemudian divalidasi ahli, dengan skor validasi materi 84% dan desain grafis 88,64%. Setelah dinyatakan layak, kamus diujicobakan kepada siswa dan terbukti menarik, mudah dipahami, serta efektif membantu pemahaman tingkatan Bahasa Madura. Kamus ini diharapkan menjadi media pembelajaran inovatif sekaligus mendukung pelestarian Bahasa Madura.
Madurese has a speech-level system (ondhâgga bâsa) whose use among younger generations tends to decline. This study aims to design the Ondhâgghâ Bhâsa Dictionary as a learning medium for Madurese speech levels for students at SMAN 1 Bangkalan, motivated by the low use of these speech levels and the limited attractiveness of conventional dictionaries. The research employed the Design Thinking method through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The dictionary was designed with a modern pop art visual style featuring vibrant colors (red, green, blue) combined with whimsical elements through family character illustrations, complemented with conversation examples and mini games. The resulting design was then validated by experts, obtaining a material validation score of 84% and a graphic design validation score of 88.64%. Once validated, the dictionary was tested on students and proved attractive, easy to understand, and effective in helping them learn Madurese speech levels. The dictionary is expected to serve as an innovative learning medium while supporting the preservation of the Madurese language.
