THE EFFECT OF BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION THROUGH SELF-MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES TO REDUCE VERBAL AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR IN HARD OF HEARING STUDENTS
Penelitian eksperimen ini menginvestigasi efektivitas teknik self-management dalam mengurangi perilaku agresif verbal pada siswa tunarungu hard of hearing di SMALB Putra Mandiri Surabaya. Desain Single Subject Research (SSR) digunakan dengan instrumen lembar observasi untuk mengukur perubahan perilaku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik self-management efektif dalam mengurangi perilaku agresif verbal dengan presentase overlap sebesar 0%. Perolehan skor yang tinggi menunjukkan penurunan durasi perilaku agresif verbal. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pengembangan program pembelajaran individual modifikasi perilaku teknik self-management. Saran untuk pengembangan lanjutan meliputi: (1) pelatihan bagi guru dan orang tua tentang teknik self-management, (2) pengintegrasian teknik self-management ke dalam kurikulum sekolah, dan (3) penelitian lanjutan tentang efektivitas teknik self-management pada populasi yang lebih luas. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan strategi intervensi efektif untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif verbal pada siswa tunarungu hard of hearing. Hasilnya dapat membantu meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan integrasi sosial siswa.

This experimental research investigates the effectiveness of self-management techniques in reducing verbal aggressive behavior in hard of hearing deaf students at SMALB Putra Mandiri Surabaya. A Single Subject Research (SSR) design was used with an observation sheet instrument to measure behavior changes. The research results show that self-management techniques are effective in reducing verbal aggressive behavior with an overlap percentage of 0%. Obtaining a high score indicates a decrease in the duration of verbal aggressive behavior. The implication of this research is the development of an individual learning program for behavioral modification of self-management techniques. Suggestions for further development include: (1) training for teachers and parents on self-management techniques, (2) integration of self-management techniques into the school curriculum, and (3) further research on the effectiveness of self-management techniques in larger populations. wide. This research contributes to the development of effective intervention strategies to reduce verbal aggressive behavior in hard of hearing deaf students. The results can help improve students' quality of life and social integration.
