IMPLEMENTASI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN UNGGA (ULAR TANGGA KATA) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL KATA PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI TK BABUS SALAM KECAMATAN KENJERAN KOTA SURABAYA
IMPLEMENTATION OF UNGGA LEARNING MEDIA (SNAKES AND LADDER OF WORDS) IN IMPROVING THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE WORD IN CHILDREN AGED 4-5 YEARS AT BABUS SALAM KINDERGARTEN, KENJERAN DISTRICT, SURABAYA CITY
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal kata melalui permainan ular tangga kata pada anak kelompok A TK Babus Salam Kenjeran Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif.
Pada saat dilakukan observasi pratindakan, persentase kemampuan mengenal kata anak sebesar 30,3%. Pada Siklus I sebesar 46,96% dengan peningkatan 16,66%, dan pada Siklus II sebesar 77,77% dengan peningkatan 30,81%. Peningkatan kemampuan mengenal kata ini meliputi anak sudah mampu menunjuk kata sesuai gambar/perintah, menyebut kata dengan membaca tulisan/yang tertulis dan menyebutkan simbol-simbol dalam kata. Perolehan persentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal kata anak kelompok A dengan kriteria baik telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan sebesar 76%. Langkah-langkah permainan ular tangga sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal kata dan anak sudah bisa mengenal kata benda: baskom, wajan, toples, talenan, sumpit, rice cooker, parutan, panci, oven, kran, mangkok, kulkas, garpu, botol, kompor, gelas, cangkir, blender, piring dan sutil, yaitu 1) guru menyiapkan media permainan ular tangga dari bahan spon ati, dadu dari kardus bekas yang dibentuk kubus, pion, 2) guru menjelaskan dan memberi contoh permainan ular tangga, yaitu melempar dadu, menjalankan pion dan menyebutkan gambar, kata yang tertera pada papan tempat pion berhenti, 3) anak-anak dikondisikan duduk melingkar di karpet lalu membagi dalam kelompok, 1 kelompok terdiri 5-6 anak, 4) guru memberikan penguatan dan motivasi berupa nasehat pada anak, 5) setelah selesai bermain anak yang berkembang sesuai harapan diberi penghargaan berupa gambar bintang.

This research aims to improve the ability to recognize words through the snake and ladder word game in group A children of Babus Salam Kindergarten Kenjeran Surabaya. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). Data collection methods are observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive.
When pre-action observations were carried out, the percentage of children's word recognition ability was 33.3%. In Cycle I it was 46.96% with an increase of 16.66%, and in Cycle II it was 77.77% with an increase of 30.81%. This increase in the ability to recognize words includes children being able to point to words according to pictures/commands, saying words by reading text/what is written and mentioning symbols in words. The percentage obtained shows that the word recognition ability of group B children with good criteria has reached a success indicator of 76%. At the time of pre-action observation, the percentage of children's word recognition ability was 41.66%. In Cycle I it was 60.21% with an increase of 18.55%, and in Cycle II it was 80.55% with an increase of 38.89%. This increase in the ability to recognize words includes children being able to point to words according to pictures/commands, saying words by reading text/what is written and mentioning symbols in words. The percentage obtained shows that the word recognition ability of group A children with good criteria has reached a success indicator of 76%. Steps for the snakes and ladders game so that it can improve the ability to recognize words and children can already recognize nouns: basin, pan, jar, cutting board, chopsticks, rice cooker, grater, pan, oven, faucet, bowl, refrigerator, fork, bottle, stove, glass, cup, blender, plate and stile, namely 1) the teacher prepares the snakes and ladders game media from ati sponge, dice from used cardboard formed into cubes, pawns, 2) the teacher explains and gives an example of the snakes and ladders game, namely throwing the dice, run the pawn and mention the picture, the word written on the board where the pawn stops, 3) the children are conditioned to sit in a circle on the carpet and then divide into groups, 1 group consists of 5-6 children, 4) the teacher provides reinforcement and motivation in the form of advice to the children, 5) after finishing playing children who develop according to expectations are given an award in the form of a picture of a star.
