Berdasarkan fenomena yang ditemukan oleh peneliti bahwa karyawan PT X kurang menunjukkan perilaku organizational citizenship behavior, hal tersebut nampak dengan perilaku karyawan yang kurang bisa bekerja sama dengan temannya, menghindari lembur dan karyawan yang seringkali mengeluh tentang pekerjaannya. Dari permasalahan tersebut peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan organizational citizenship behavior pada karyawan PT X di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT X di Surabaya pada Divisi Kapal Perang. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 150 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan kuisioner. Teknik analisa data menggunakan korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara kecerdasan emosional dengan organizational citizenship behavior yang ditunjukkan pada hasil nilai r sebesar 0,609 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Nilai signifikansi 0,000 atau (p<0,05) mempunyai arti berhubungan positif bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kecerdasan emosional maka semakin tinggi pula organizational citizenship behavior yang ditunjukkan.

Based on the phenomenon found by researchers that PT X employees showed less organizational citizenship behavior, this was evident from the behavior of employees who were less able to work with friends, avoid overtime and employees who often complained about their work. From these problems the researchers wanted to know how the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior in PT X employees in Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach. The study population was employees of PT X in Surabaya in the Warship Division. The subjects of this study were 150 people. This study uses data collection methods with questionnaires. Data analysis technique uses Pearson product moment correlation. The results show that there is a strong relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior which is shown in the results of the r value of 0.609 with a significance level of 5%. Significance value of 0,000 or (p <0.05) has a meaning positively related that the higher the level of emotional intelligence, the higher the organizational citizenship behavior shown.
