ABSTRAK

Model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E merupakan kumpulan dari rangkaian tahapan-tahapan kegiatan belajar yaitu Elicit, Engagament, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, Evaluation, dan Extend. Setiap tahapan dari Learning Cycle 7E bertujuan untuk memecahkan suatu permasalahan dengan cara penyelidikan, penemuan, dan analisa yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menghasilkan LKPD  berorientasi  model  Learning  Cycle 7-E untuk  melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik  pada sub materi perkecambahan biji pada kelas XII SMA yang layak berdasarkan validitas,  kepraktisan,  dan  keefektifan  guna  menunjang proses pembelajaran di sekolah. LKPD yang dikembangkan menggunakan desain penelitian model 4-D yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Dessiminate. Uji coba terbatas yang dilakukan pada 20 peserta didik kelas XII IPA 7 SMA Negeri 16 Surabaya. Parameter dalam penelitian ini meliputi validitas yang dilihat dari hasil validitas para ahli, kepraktisan yang dilihat dari aktivitas peserta didik, dan keefektifan yang dilihat dari hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas LKPD yang dikembangkan sebesar 3,65 dengan kategori sangat layak. Kepraktisan LKPD berdasarkan observasi aktivitas peserta didik mendapatkan hasil sebesar 94,58% untuk LKPD 1 dan 97,08 untuk LKPD 2, keduanya tergolong dalam kategori sangat praktis. Keefektifan yang dilihat dari hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai peningkatan 90%, keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik mencapai 87%, dan respon peserta didik mencapai 96,67 dengan kategori positif.

ABSTRACT

Learning Cycle 7-E is the collection of the steps in the learning process which has elicited, engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, evaluation, and extend. Each step of learning cycle model 7-E have the purpose to solve the problems with investigating, finding, and analyzing in order to build students’ critical thinking. Therefore, the primary of this study is to produce LKPD that is using learning cycle model 7-E in order to build students’ critical thinking for seed germination material in third grade of senior high school students. In order to produce LKPD by using learning cycle 7-E, 20 students of XII IPA 7 SMAN 16 Surabaya are selected and the development of LKPD is using 4-D model. Those are defined, design, develop, and disseminate. Then, the measurement of this study includes validity from the other research which showed on the students’ activity, response, critical thinking, and the effectiveness of the learning. The result of this study showed that the development of LKPD validity is 3,65 which has the proper categories. The practice of LKPD is based on the observation of students’ activity that has 94,58% for the first LKPD and other is 97,08. Both of them has a practical category. It can be seen from the result of the students learning that has development 90%, the critical thinking is 87%, and the response of the participants is 96,67 which has a positive category.
