Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi Peserta Didik SMK Otomotif Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD)

Improving The Communication Ability Of Automotive Vocational School Students Through The Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) Cooperative Learning Model

Pada saat proses belajar mengajar, banyak diantara peserta didik yang kurang dalam keterampilan komunikasi sehingga penguasaan materi baik secara kelompok atau individu yang telah diberikan oleh guru kurang maksimal dan sifat kerjasama dalam belajar kelompok tidak tercapai. Karena pembelajaran belum memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta didik untuk berkembang secara mandiri melalui penemuan dan proses berpikir dalam memcahkan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian artikel berikut adalah guna mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi pada peserta didik SMK dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Student Teams-Achievement Division (STAD). Metode yang digunakan dalam penyusunan artikel ini yaitu studi literature dengan cara mengumpulkan buku, jurnal, dan artikel web terkait untuk dikaji, setelah semua data terkumpul dilakukan pengujian dan perbandingan data yang ditemukan, selanjutnya data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik SMK. Dari hasil studi literatur, ditemukan bahwa adanya peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi pada peserta didik SMK dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Student Teams-Achievement Division (STAD) dengan melihat beberapa aspek yaitu: (1) Keterbukaan (2) Empati (3) Sikap Mendukung (4) Sikap Positif . Dikarenakan didalam model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Student Teams-Achievement Division (STAD) pada saat proses penyampaian informasi menuntut peserta didik untuk berkomunikasi (mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, menganalisis dan mengkomunikasikan) dengan teman sebayanya pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar belangsung.

During the teaching and learning process, many of the students lacked communication skills so that the mastery of the material either in groups or individually that had been given by the teacher was not optimal and the nature of cooperation in group learning was not achieved. Because learning has not provided opportunities for students to develop independently through discovery and thinking processes in solving problems.The purpose of the following article research is to find out the improvement of comunication skills in vacational school students by aplying Cooperative Students Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning models. The method used in the preparation of this article study by collecting books, research journal, related web article to be studied, after all the data has been collected, testing and comparison of the data found is carried out, then all the data that has collected is analyzed to find out the improvement of communication skills in vacational high school students. From the result of the literature studies it was found there was an incrase in comunication skills in vactional high school  students by applying Cooperative Students Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning models by looking at several aspects, namely: (1) Opennes (2) Emphaty (3) Supportivenes (4) Positive Attitude. Because in the Cooperative Students Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning models when the process of delivering information requires students to communicate (observe, asking questions, collecting information, analyze, and communicating) with their friends during teaching and learnig activites.
