Study of the Inhibiting and Driving Factors of the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Social Studies Subjects in Middle Schools in Gresik Regency
Dalam pelaksanaan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, khususnya di beberapa SMP di Kabupaten Gresik, beberapa guru kurang memahami konsep kurikulum merdeka. Sarana prasarana yang berada di sekolah juga masih kurang mendukung dalam aktivitas belajar. Hal ini merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menghambat implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan dan mengidentifikasi adanya faktor penghambat dan pendorong implementasi kurikulum merdeka pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP se-Kabupaten Gresik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survey melalui angket yang disebarkan kepada responden. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru-guru IPS di SMP sekabupaten Gresik yang telah melakasanakan proses pembelajaran berdasarkan implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode statistik deskriptif, kemudian data disajikan dengan mencari frekuensi relatif (persentase), yang dilakukan dengan menghitung data kemudian menyajikan distribusi frekuensi dalam bentuk grafik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya faktor penghambat yang ditandai dengan nilai skor yang berada pada interval 165,5 < X ≤ 176. Kurangnya minat belajar IPS peserta didik, kurangnya peran pemerintah, kurangnya kompetensi dan pemahaman guru mengenai kurikulum merdeka, perubahan sosial budaya dan kurangnya fasilitas sekolah merupakan faktor penghambat dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP se-Kabupaten Gresik. Adanya faktor pendorong ditunjukkan nilai skor yang berada pada interval 378 < X . Motivasi belajar IPS peserta didik, kreativitas guru IPS, inovasi guru IPS, kompetensi guru IPS, lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah yang baik, dan lingkungan masyarakat merupakan Faktor pendorong dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP se-Kabupaten Gresik.
In carrying out the implementation of the independent curriculum, especially in several junior high schools in Gresik Regency, some teachers did not understand the concept of an independent curriculum. Facilities and infrastructure in schools are also still lacking in supporting learning activities. This is one of the factors that can hinder the implementation of the independent curriculum. This study aims to analyze the implementation and identify the presence of inhibiting and motivating factors in the implementation of the independent curriculum in social studies subjects in junior high schools throughout Gresik Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research using survey methods through questionnaires distributed to respondents. The sample used in this study was social studies teachers at junior high schools in Gresik who had carried out the learning process based on the implementation of the independent curriculum. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical methods, then data was presented by finding relative frequencies (percentages), which was done by calculating the data and then presenting the frequency distribution in graphical form. The results of this study indicate the existence of an inhibiting factor which is characterized by scores that are at intervals of 165.5 < X ≤ 176. The lack of interest in studying social studies among students, the lack of the government's role, the lack of competence and understanding of teachers regarding the independent curriculum, socio-cultural changes and the lack of school facilities are the inhibiting factors in the implementation of the independent curriculum in social studies subjects in junior high schools throughout Gresik Regency. The existence of a driving factor is indicated by a score that is in the interval 378 < X . Students' social studies learning motivation, social studies teacher creativity, social studies teacher innovation, social studies teacher competence, family environment, good school environment, and community environment are driving factors in the implementation of the independent curriculum in social studies subjects in junior high schools throughout Gresik Regency.
