Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis solusi CMT menggunakan metode Time Domain Moment Tensor (TDMT) dan menentukan tipe patahan gempa bumi di sekitar Laut Flores pada tanggal 27 Februari 2015 dengan 𝑀𝑤 7.0 dan yang terjadi pada tanggal 23 Agustus 2016 dengan 𝑀𝑤 6.0. Data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui SAGE Wilber diolah menggunakan metode inversi wavfeorm tiga komponen dan fungsi Green yang terdapat pada software MTINV untuk mengestimasi parameter gempa bumi yang terjadi di sekitar Laut Flores. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa kedua gempa bumi terjadi karena aktivitas tektonik, bukan akibat adanya ledakan. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan hasil presentase nilai DC lebih besar daripada nilai CLVD, dengan VR yaitu sebesar 51.67% pada gempa bumi 27 Februari 2015 dan sebesar 63.35% pada gempa bumi 23 Agustus 2016. Berdasarkan nilai Variance Reduction (VR), maka hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dikatakan akurat karena telah memenuhi syarat. Dari bentuk beachball dapat diketahui tipe patahan yang menyebabkan kedua gempa bumi tersebut yaitu sesar miring.

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the CMT solution using the Time Domain Moment Tensor (TDMT) method and determining the fault type of the earthquake around the Flores Sea on February 27, 2015 with 𝑀𝑤 7.0 and that occurred on August 23, 2016 with 𝑀𝑤 6.0. Secondary data obtained through SAGE Wilber were processed using the three-component wavfeorm inversion method and Green's function contained in the MTINV software to estimate the parameters of the earthquake that occurred around the Flores Sea. The calculation results show that both earthquakes occurred due to tectonic activity, not due to an explosion. This is evidenced by the results of the percentage of DC values greater than CLVD values, with a VR of 51.67% in the February 27, 2015 earthquake and 63.35% in the August 23, 2016 earthquake. Based on the Variance Reduction (VR) value, the results obtained in this study are said to be accurate because they have met the requirements. From the beachball shape, it can be seen that the type of fault that caused the two earthquakes was an oblique fault.
