DETERMINAN MINAT MAHASISWA JAWA TIMUR DALAM BERINVESTASI SAHAM DI PASAR MODAL PADA MASA ENDEMI COVID-19
DETERMINANTS OF EAST JAVA STUDENTS' INTEREST IN INVESTING IN STOCK IN THE CAPITAL MARKET DURING THE COVID-19 ENDEMIC
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemahaman investasi, motivasi, persepsi risiko, dan media sosial terhadap minat investasi saham mahasiswa di Jawa Timur pada masa endemi covid-19, serta membuktikan apakah dengan adanya variabel moderasi yaitu lingkungan sosial dapat memperlemah atau memperkuat hubungan antara variabel independen dan dependen. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 289 mahasiswa dari 7 perguruan tinggi terbaik di Jawa Timur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda dan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) dengan bantuan software SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi, persepsi risiko, dan media sosial berpengaruh positif terhadap minat investasi, namun pemahaman investasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap minat investasi. Selain itu lingkungan sosial dapat memoderasi hubungan motivasi dengan minat investasi, tetapi tidak mampu memoderasi hubungan persepsi risiko dan media sosial dengan minat investasi.

This research aims to determine the influence of investment understanding, motivation, risk perception, and social media on student stock investment interest in East Java during the Covid-19 endemic, as well as proving whether the presence of a moderating variable, namely the social environment, can weaken or strengthen the relationship between the independent variables. and dependency. This research is quantitative with a sample size of 289 students from the 7 best universities in East Java. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of SPSS 23 software. The research results show that motivation, risk perception and social media have a positive effect on investment interest, but investment understanding has no effect on investment interest. In addition, the social environment can moderate the relationship between motivation and investment interest, but is not able to moderate the relationship between risk perception and social media and investment interest.
