PERANCANGAN BUKU JURNAL PENGENALAN SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER BAGI REMAJA PASCA PANDEMI COVID-19
DESIGNING A JOURNAL BOOK ON INTRODUCING SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER TO TEENAGERS POST COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The Covid-19 pandemic has had broad impacts, not only on physical health but also on mental health. Covid-19 preventive measures such as social interaction restrictions have led teenagers to experience increased feelings of depression, loneliness, anxiety, and difficulty concentrating compared to before the pandemic. Social anxiety disorder has become a common mental health issue experienced by teenagers in Indonesia. The lack of public understanding about mental health disorders, especially social anxiety disorder, hinders individuals from seeking professional help, thus necessitating the creation of a media design to educate teenagers about social anxiety disorder.
The aim of this design is to develop a concept, describe the process, and produce a design product in the form of a journal book to provide education about the definition and symptoms of social anxiety disorder, as well as providing journal pages to help individuals better understand themselves and support the diagnosis process by experts. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with a design thinking approach by David Kelley and Tim Brown. The visual design process involves design creation, media and material feasibility validation, as well as testing. The results of the testing and validation by experts indicate that this journal book is suitable with an average score of 100%.
