Motivasi belajar adalah dorongan yang menggerakkan seseorang mencari pengetahuan baru, mempertahankan minat saat belajar, dan mencapai tujuan. value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART merupakan teknik dalam layanan bimbingan untuk mengenali, memilih, dan menghayati nilai positif yang berkaitan dengan tujuan belajar secara sistematis dan terstruktur sesuai prinsip SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). Value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART dipilih karena teknik ini dapat memfasilitasi siswa dalam menetapkan tujuan belajar yang spesifik, terukur, realistis, relevan, dan berbatas waktu, sehingga mendorong terjadinya peningkatan motivasi belajar yang lebih efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan, menyusun, dan menghasilkan buku panduan value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART yang memenuhi kriteria akseptabilitas meliputi kegunaan, kelayakan, ketepatan dan kepatutan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa SMP, dan menelaah efektivitas buku panduan teknik value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP melalui penerapannya dalam bimbingan kelompok. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru bimbingan dan konseling SMP.
Desain penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D), dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation). Melalui model ini digunakan untuk mengembangkan produk buku panduan Value Clarification Technique (VCT) prinsip SMART yang layak dan memenuhi aspek akseptabilitas . Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa daftar cek masalah (DCM) dan angket motivasi belajar. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisa data penelitian ini adalah menggunakan analisis deskriptif presentase dari hasil uji ahli. Untuk menguji keefektifan penerapan buku panduan value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART menggunakan model analisis statistik berupa uji wilcoxon Signed Rank dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, produk buku panduan value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART yang dikembangkan dikatakan layak dan memenuhi aspek akseptabilitas. Kedua, value clarification technique (VCT) prinsip SMART terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP yang dibuktikan dengan hasil nilai Asymp.Sig 0,011 < 0,05.

Learning motivation is the drive that drives someone to seek new knowledge, maintain interest while learning, and achieve goals. Value Clarification Technique (VCT) with the SMART principle is a technique in guidance services to recognize, select, and internalize positive values related to learning goals systematically and structured according to the SMART principle (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). Value Clarification Technique (VCT) with the SMART principle was chosen because this technique can facilitate students in setting specific, measurable, realistic, relevant, and time-bound learning goals, thereby encouraging an increase in more effective learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to develop, compile, and produce a value clarification technique (VCT) guidebook with the SMART principle that meets the acceptability criteria including usefulness, feasibility, accuracy and appropriateness in increasing learning motivation in junior high school students, and examine the effectiveness of the value clarification technique (VCT) guidebook with the SMART principle in increasing learning motivation in junior high school students through its application in group guidance. The subjects of this study were junior high school guidance and counseling teachers.
The design of this research is research and development (R&D), with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation). Through this model, it is used to develop a product guidebook value clarification technique (VCT) SMART principles that are feasible and meet the acceptability aspects. Data collection instruments are in the form of a problem checklist (DCM) and a learning motivation questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data of this research is using descriptive analysis of the percentage of expert test results. To test the effectiveness of the application of the guidebook Value Clarification Technique (VCT) SMART principles using a statistical analysis model in the form of a Wilcoxon Signed Rank test with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design.
Based on the research results and discussion, the following conclusions can be drawn. First, the developed value clarification technique (VCT) guidebook product with the SMART principle is said to be feasible and meets the acceptability aspect. Second, the value clarification technique (VCT) with the SMART principle has been proven effective in increasing the learning motivation of junior high school students as evidenced by the results of the Asymp.Sig value of 0.011 < 0.05.
