Parenting Education sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Kualitas Pengasuhan Bagi Ibu Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus di Rumah Latih Dinas Sosial Kabupaten Trenggalek
Parenting Education as an Effort to Improve the Quality of Parenting for Mothers of Children with Special Needs at the Trenggalek Regency Social Service Training House
Kondisi ibu anak berkebutuhan khusus di lokasi penelitian masih memprihatinkan dalam hal mengasuh anak berkebutuhan khusus. Kesadaran dari ibu untuk memberikan perawatan terbaik bagi anak mereka yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan program parenting education sebagai upaya meningkatkan pengasuhan bagi ibu anak berkebutuhan khusus di Rumah Latih. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat pelaksanaan program. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengelola program, fasilitator, dan ibu anak berkebutuhan khusus. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber dan member check, transferability, dependability, dan confirmability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program parenting education di Rumah latih dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengasuhan bagi ibu anak berkebutuhan khusus ditunjukkan dengan menggunakan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan hasil yang didapatkan ibu setelah mengikuti program. Kualitas pengasuhan ibu anak berkebutuhan khusus terlihat dari keterampilan yang didapatkan oleh ibu selama mengikuti program yaitu keterampilan dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, pengetahuan terkait menerapi anak berkebutuhan khusus, pengetahuan terkait ciri-ciri keterlambatan perkembangan anak, keterampilan ibu dalam mengatasi permasalahan perilaku anak, pemahaman terkait makanan bergizi. Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan program parenting education di Rumah latih adalah orang tua, keluarga, masyarakat, pemerintah, sarana dan prasarana, fasilitator, pengelola program, serta anggaran dana. Sedangkan faktor pendukung pelaksanaan program Parenting Education di Rumah latih adalah orang tua yang kurang kooperatif, topografi wilayah kabupaten, dan kemampuan masyarakat menjangkau fasilitas di Rumah Latih.

The condition of mothers of children with special needs at the research location is still concerning in terms of caring for children with special needs. The awareness of mothers to provide the best care for their children who have special needs is still lacking. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the implementation of the parenting education program as an effort to improve parenting for mothers of children with special needs at Rumah Latih. In addition, this study also aims to examine the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of program implementation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used in-depth interview methods, participatory observation, and documentation. The informants in this study were program managers, facilitators, and mothers of children with special needs. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The data validity test used is source triangulation and member check, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results showed that the implementation of the parenting education program at the training house can improve the quality of parenting for mothers of children with special needs, indicated by using the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation and the results obtained by mothers after attending the program. The quality of parenting for mothers of children with special needs can be seen from the skills obtained by mothers during the program, namely skills in increasing self-confidence, knowledge related to treating children with special needs, knowledge related to the characteristics of child development delays, maternal skills in overcoming child behavior problems, understanding related to nutritious food. Supporting factors for the implementation of the parenting education program at the training house are parents, family, community, government, facilities and infrastructure, facilitators, program managers, and budget. While the supporting factors for the implementation of the Parenting Education program at the training house are parents who are less cooperative, the topography of the district area, and the ability of the community to reach the facilities at the training house.
