Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Ular Tangga Edukatif Terhadap Kemampuan Mengenal Warna Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun
The Influence of Educational Snakes and Ladders Learning Media on the Color Recognition Ability of 4-5 Year Old Children
Pada jenjang pendidikan anak usia dini, penting untuk mengembangkan berbagai aspek perkembangan, termasuk perkembangan kognitif yang mencakup kemampuan mengenal warna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran ular tangga edukatif terhadap kemampuan mengenal warna anak usia 4–5 tahun. Permasalahan yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan anak usia dini dalam mengenal warna secara optimal, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain control group pre-test post-test. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A di TK Khadijah Surabaya yang terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 10 anak. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pengenalan warna yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Data dikumpulkan melalui pemberian pre-test sebelum perlakuan dan post-test setelah perlakuan. Media ular tangga edukatif digunakan dalam pembelajaran kelompok eksperimen, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney karena data berdistribusi tidak normal. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000, yang berarti lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi 0,05 (H hitung < H tabel), sehingga Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil post-test kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Anak-anak yang belajar menggunakan media ular tangga edukatif menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mengenal warna yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan anak-anak yang belajar dengan metode konvensional. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran ular tangga edukatif berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan mengenal warna anak usia 4–5 tahun.

In early childhood education, it is important to develop various aspects of development, including cognitive development that includes the ability to recognize colors. This study aims to determine the effect of educational snakes and ladders learning media on the ability to recognize colors of children aged 4-5 years. The problem underlying this study is the low ability of early childhood to recognize colors optimally, so that interesting and effective learning media are needed. The research method used is a quasi-experimental with a control group pre-test post-test design. The subjects of this study were children in group A at Khadijah Kindergarten Surabaya consisting of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group, each consisting of 10 children. The research instrument was a color recognition test that had been validated by experts. Data were collected by giving a pre-test before treatment and a post-test after treatment. Educational snakes and ladders media were used in the experimental group learning, while the control group used conventional methods. Data analysis was carried out using the Mann -Whitney test because the data was not normally distributed. The results of the Mann-Whitney test obtained a significance value of 0.000, which means it is smaller than the significance value of 0.05 (H count < H table), so Ha is accepted. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the post-test results of the experimental group and the control group. Children who learned using educational snakes and ladders media showed a higher increase in their ability to recognize colors compared to children who learned using conventional methods. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of educational snakes and ladders learning media has a positive effect on increasing the ability to recognize colors in children aged 4-5 years.
