Based on the reality in the field found at
the IKSPI Kera Sakti pencak silat club, Kedungpring District, this research
aims to determine the effect of training using resistance bands on the speed of
sickle kicks in IKSPI Kera Sakti pencak silat athletes, Kedungpring District.
This research uses an experimental method
with a "One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design" design. The population in
this study is the IKSPI Kera Sakti pencak silat athletes, Kedungpring District,
totaling 10 athletes. Sampling in this study was carried out using purposive sampling,
with the criteria of having participated in pencak silat sports for at least 7
months and being male, Pencak silat athlete with an age limit of 14-17 years or
can be categorized as a teenager, Able to be given treatment for approximately
1.5 month or 16 meetings, Can do crescent kicks correctly. Based on specific
criteria and fulfilling these criteria, there were 6 athletes. The instrument
for measuring the speed of a sickle kick is a 10 second kick test. Data
analysis used a t test with a significance level of 5%.
The results of the research show that there
is a significant effect of Resistance Band training on the speed of sickle
kicks in IKSPI Kera Sakti pencak silat athletes, Kedungpring District, Tcount
is 26.48 > 1.943 Ttable for right kicks. Meanwhile, for the left kick,
Tcount is 27.18 > 1,943 Ttable from 6 samples.
