Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis video tutorial yang layak (valid, efektif, dan praktis) pada kompetensi Penataan Sanggul Kreatif Pola Asimetris. Valid menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan sesuai untuk mengajarkan kompetensi Penataan Sanggul Kreatif Pola Asimetris. Efektif menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan memiliki dampak terhadap penguasaan kompetensi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Praktis menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik mudah penggunaannya.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4D yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan penyebaran (disseminate). Pelaksanaan dilakukan di Jurusan Tata Rias SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi lembar validasi video tutorial, instrumen tes kinerja, dan angket respon. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian adalah validasi, tes, dan kuesioner, serta observasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) validasi oleh tiga validator diperoleh skor rerata sebesar 4,21 dalam kategori sangat valid, sehingga video tutorial yang dikembangkan sesuai untuk mengajarkan kompetensi Penataan Sanggul Kreatif Pola Asimetris, (2) uji beda sampel bebas menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan video tutorial dan media powerpoint, sehingga video tutorial yang dikembangkan efektif, dan (3) hasil respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran video tutorial penataan sanggul kreatif pola asimetris rerata sebesar 85,76%, sedangkan hasil respon guru sebesar 88,33% keduanya dalam kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian peserta didik dan guru merespon dalam kategori sangat praktis
terhadap media video tutorial yang dikembangkan.

The purpose of this research is to produce appropriate video tutorial-based learning media (valid, effective, and practical) on the competence of Asymmetrical Pattern Creative Bun Arrangement. Valid shows that the media developed is suitable for teaching the competence of Asymmetrical Pattern Creative Bun Arrangement. Effectively shows that the developed media has an impact on the mastery of competencies in the teaching and learning process. Practical shows that the developed media has the characteristics of being easy to use.
This research is a development research using a 4D model, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminating. The implementation was carried out at the Department of Make-up at SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya. The instruments used in this study include video tutorial validation sheets, performance test instruments, and response questionnaires. Data collection techniques in the study were validation, tests, and questionnaires, as well as observation. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
The results showed that: (1) validation by three validators obtained an average score of 4.21 in the very valid category, so the video tutorial developed was suitable for teaching the competence of Asymmetrical Pattern Creative Bun Arrangement, (2) the free sample difference test showed that the significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students who are taught using video tutorials and powerpoint media, so that the video tutorials developed are effective, and (3) the results of student responses to video learning media The average asymmetric pattern of creative bun arrangement tutorials is 85.76%, while the teacher's response results are 88.33% both in the very practical category. Thus, students and teachers respond in a very practical category to the video tutorial media
developed.
