THE USE OF TEMPORAL DEIXIS IN THE FILM SCRIPT OF GOOD BYE LENIN!

Penelitian ini membahas penggunaan deiksis temporal dalam naskah film Good Bye Lenin! dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan jenis deiksis temporal yang digunakan oleh para tokoh dalam berbagai situasi ujaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data berupa identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan interpretasi ujaran-ujaran yang mengandung deiksis temporal dalam naskah film. Film Good Bye Lenin! menjadi objek penelitian yang menarik karena mengandung banyak ujaran temporal yang mencerminkan perubahan waktu yang dialami oleh karakter dalam film. Dalam film ini, deiksis temporal digunakan untuk menunjukkan urutan peristiwa yang menciptakan perbedaan antara masa lalu, masa kini, dan masa depan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin menganalisis penggunaan deiksis temporal dalam naskah film Good Bye Lenin!. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori deiksis temporal oleh Lehmann (2013), yang membagi deiksis temporal ke dalam tiga kategori utama, yaitu Gleichzeitigkeit (masa kini), Vorzeitigkeit (masa lalu), dan Nachzeitigkeit (masa depan). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan bahwa bentuk-bentuk deiksis temporal dalam film Good Bye Lenin! meliputi Gleichzeitigkeit (masa kini) yang terdiri atas jetzt, heute, im Moment. Pada Vorzeitigkeit (masa lalu) terdiri atas damals, nach 8 Wochen, vor 8 Monaten, Vor 3 Monaten, letztem Jahr, letzten Jahr, letzten Monaten, 2 Tage, gleichen Abend. Pada Nachzeitigkeit (masa depan) yang terdiri atas später, nächste Woche, In spätestens 4 Wochen.

This study discusses the use of temporal deixis in the script of the film Good Bye Lenin! with the aim of describing the forms and types of temporal deixis used by the characters in various speech situations. The method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data analysis techniques including identification, classification, and interpretation of utterances containing temporal deixis in the film script. Good Bye Lenin! is considered an interesting object of study because it contains many temporal utterances that reflect the shifts in time experienced by the characters. In this film, temporal deixis is used to indicate the sequence of events that create distinctions between the past, the present, and the future. Therefore, the researcher seeks to analyze the use of temporal deixis in the script of Good Bye Lenin!. The theory applied is Lehmann’s (2013) theory of temporal deixis, which categorizes temporal deixis into three main types, Gleichzeitigkeit (present), Vorzeitigkeit (past), and Nachzeitigkeit (future). Based on the data analysis, the forms of temporal deixis found in Good Bye Lenin! Include Gleichzeitigkeit (present) consisting of jetzt, heute, im Moment, Vorzeitigkeit (past) consisting of damals, nach 8 Wochen, vor 8 Monaten, vor 3 Monaten, letztem Jahr, letzten Jahr, letzten Monaten, 2 Tage, gleichen Abend, and Nachzeitigkeit (future) consisting of später, nächste Woche, in spätestens 4 Wochen.
