Mahasiswa sebagai generasi Z saat ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dari aspek akademik maupun non-akademik. Mereka dihadapkan pada tekanan dalam manajemen waktu, tuntutan akademik, adaptasi sosial, serta risiko gangguan kesehatan mental. Meskipun generasi ini dikenal unggul dalam penggunaan teknologi, banyak dari mereka masih kurang siap dalam menghadapi dunia kerja karena minimnya pengalaman praktis dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut adalah melalui program internship (PLP), yang berfungsi sebagai jembatan antara teori perkuliahan dan praktik lapangan. Internship dapat membentuk kepercayaan diri mahasiswa, atau yang dikenal dengan self-efficacy, yang berperan penting dalam membantu mereka mengelola tekanan serta meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi. Namun, dalam kenyataannya, tidak semua mahasiswa memiliki tingkat resilience yang optimal, sehingga mereka rentan mengalami stres dan kebingungan dalam menentukan pilihan karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh internship, self-efficacy terhadap resilience pada mahasiswa kependidikan Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis, Universitas Negeri Surabaya yang terdiri dari empat prodi yakni Pendidikan Ekonomi, Pendidikan Akuntansi, pendidikan Bisnis dan Pendidikan Administrasi dan Perkantoran angkatan 2021. Mahasiswa sering menghadapi tantangan akademik maupun non-akademik yang dapat mempengaruhi ketahanan mental mereka. Internship sebagai pengalaman lapangan berpotensi meningkatkan kepercayaan diri (self-efficacy) dan ketangguhan (resilience) mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tekanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Sampel berjumlah 173 mahasiswa dari empat program studi kependidikan di Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis UNESA yang telah mengikuti program PLP tahun akademik 2024/2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internship berpengaruh signifikan terhadap self-efficacy dan resilience. Selain itu, self-efficacy juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap resilience, dan memediasi hubungan antara internship dan resilience. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi bahwa pengalaman magang yang dirancang secara optimal dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam membangun ketangguhan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan akademik dan persiapan karir.

Students as generation Z currently face various challenges, both from academic and non-academic aspects. They are faced with pressure in time management, academic demands, social adaptation, and the risk of mental health disorders. Although this generation is known to excel in the use of technology, many of them are still unprepared to face the world of work due to the lack of practical experience and skills needed. One effort to overcome these challenges is through the internship program (PLP), which functions as a bridge between lecture theory and field practice. Internships can build students' self-confidence, or what is known as self-efficacy, which plays an important role in helping them manage stress and improve their ability to adapt. However, in reality, not all students have an optimal level of resilience, so they are prone to stress and confusion in determining career choices. This study aims to investigate the effect of internship, self-efficacy on resilience in education students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Surabaya State University consisting of four study programs, namely Economics Education, Accounting Education, Business Education and Administration and Office Education class of 2021. Students often face academic and non-academic challenges that can affect their mental resilience. Internship as a field experience has the potential to increase students' self-confidence (self-efficacy) and resilience in dealing with pressure. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The sample was 173 students from four education study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNESA who had participated in the PLP program in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of the study show that internship has a significant effect on self-efficacy and resilience. In addition, self-efficacy also has a significant effect on resilience, and mediates the relationship between internship and resilience. These findings imply that optimally designed internship experiences can be an effective strategy in building student resilience to academic challenges and work readiness.
