Penelitian ini berdasarkan latar belakang masalah yang ditemukan di lapangan yaitu 54,54% dari sebelas mahasiswa Akademi Komunitas Negeri Sidoarjo merasa cukup kesulitan dalam memahami konsep fotografi, serta kurangnya / terbatasnya alat (kamera, lensa dan perlengkapan foto studio). Sedangkan hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan materi yang dianggap kurang paham dalam konsep fotografi (Iso, Diafragma, Speed) sebesar 45,45%. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan belajar yang terjadi maka diperlukan pengembangan bahan ajar untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran secara mandiri, yaitu modul digital interaktif. Selanjutnya tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang (1) kelayakan, (2) keefektifan modul digital interaktif dan (3) hasil belajar pada mahasiswa Jurusan Multimedia di Akademi Komunitas Negeri Sidoarjo.

Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Research and Development (Research and Development) Borg and Gall adaptasi model Sugiyono dengan jumlah 10 langkah pengembangan. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa instrumen dalam bentuk wawancara, kuesioner, observasi dan tes. Masing-masing instrumen tersebut memiliki fungsi yaitu: instrumen wawancara kepada para ahli materi, media dan pembelajaran dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian kelayakan modul digital beserta perangkat pembelajarannya; instrumen kuesioner untuk mengetahui kemudahan dan penyajian materi yang tercantum pada modul digital; observasi untuk mengetahui kemampuan psikomotor saat menggunakan simulator kamera yang terdapat di dalam modul digital; serta instumen tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar para mahasiswa Akademi Komunitas Negeri Sidoarjo dan keefektifan penggunaan modul digital pada proses pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari subjek uji coba perorangan, subjek uji coba kelompok kecil, subjek uji coba kelompok besar, serta subjek validator.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil wawancara dengan dua ahli materi menunjukkan hasil persentase sebesar 97,22%, lalu hasil dua ahli media menunjukkan hasil persentase sebesar 92,85%, sedangkan hasil ahli pembelajaran menunjukkan persentase sebesar 100%. Hasil dari uji coba perorangan menunjukan persentase sebesar 90,91%, lalu hasil dari uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukan persentase sebesar 92,05%, kemudian hasil dari uji coba kelompok besar menunjukan persentase sebesar 91,82%. Hasil nilai rata-rata pada tes kinerja menunjukkan 84,167. Sedangkan hasil uji t test yang didapatkan antara nilai post test dari kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan 10,642.n Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan modul digital interaktif tentang pencahayaan pada mata kuliah fotografi dikatakan layak dan efektif untuk pembelajaran kepada mahasiswa Jurusan Multimedia di Akademi Komunitas Negeri Sidoarjo.

While the results of the needs analysis showed that the students considered less understood (45,45%) in the concept of Iso, Diaphragm, Speed. In order to overcome the learning problems that occured it is necessary to develop of teaching materials to facilitate learning independently, that is the interactive digital module. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to describe (1) feasibility, (2) effectiveness of interactive digital module and (3) learning outcomes of students of Multimedia Department at Sidoarjo State Community Academy.
