HUBUNGAN ANTARA JOB CHARACTERISTICS DENGAN EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT PADA KARYAWAN PT X

Setiap karyawan tidak akan lepas dari tugas pekerjaan, dan pekerjaan yang diberikan tersebut memiliki karakteristik atau ciri masing-masing. Kajian berikut mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara job characteristics dengan employee engagement pada karyawan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif analisis korelasi product moment. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 80 karyawan bagian manajemen, menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang disusun peneliti berdasar skala employee engagement dan skala job characteristics. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment dan perhitungannya dilakukan menggunakan SPSS versi 25.0 for windows. Hasil analisa data diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan antara job characteristics dengan employee engagement pada karyawan PT X. Hal ini dibuktikan dari taraf signifikansi sebesar 0.000 (p < 0.05) dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,865. Berdasarkan hasil analisa disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara job characteristics dengan employee engagement pada karyawan PT X, sehingga semakin tinggi job characteristics maka akan semakin tinggi pula employee engagement, berlaku sebaliknya. Jika nilai job characteristics yang didapatkan rendah, maka nilai employee engagement yang akan didapatkan juga rendah.
Every employee will not be separated from work assignments, and the work given has its own characteristics. The following study aims to know the relationship between job characteristics and employee engagement in employees. The method used is quantitative product moment correlation analysis. The subjects used in this study were 80 employees of the management division, using a questionnaire instrument compiled by the researcher based on the employee engagement scale and job characteristics scale. In this study, product moment correlation analysis was used and the calculations were carried out using SPSS version 25.0 for windows. The results of data analysis showed that there was a relationship between job characteristics and employee engagement in PT X employees. This was evidenced by the significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0,865. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between job characteristics and employee engagement in PT X employees, so that the higher the job characteristics, the higher the employee engagement, and vice versa. If the value of the job characteristics obtained is low, then the value of employee engagement that will be obtained is also low.
