The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic which requires teachers and students to do distance learning from home raises several problems, one of which is the use of effective learning media in supporting distance learning. The objectives of this literature study are: (1) to determine the effectiveness of google classrooms in the distance learning process; (2) determine the effectiveness of google classroom when combined with other applications in the distance learning process. To achieve the goal, a literature study was carried out obtained from the latest scientific research articles using Google Schoolar with the keyword google classroom. After identification, screening, and the accessibility of 30 articles, there were 7 articles that were in accordance with the research objectives. The results of the literature review explain: (1) the use of google classroom in distance learning is quite good with a percentage of success above 60%; (2) the use of google classroom media gets better results with a percentage above 70% when collaborated with virtual face-to-face learning because some features of google classroom have not been able to cover the weaknesses faced during online learning.
