PENGARUH MEDIA FLASHCARD SIBI BERBASIS AUGMENTED REALITY TERHADAP PENGUASAAN HURUF A-Z ANAK TUNARUNGU
The Influence of Augmented Reality Media on the Mastery of SIBI (A-Z) for Hearing-Impaired Children
Pendidikan adalah hak fundamental setiap warga negara, termasuk anak tunarungu. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh media Flashcard SIBI berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) terhadap penguasaan huruf A-Z pada enam siswa Fase A di SLBN Pandaan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest, data dikumpulkan melalui tes praktik dan tulis, lalu dianalisis dengan uji peringkat bertanda Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa media AR berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap kemampuan penguasaan abjad SIBI. Terjadi peningkatan capaian yang nyata antara kondisi sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Pengujian statistik secara manual maupun sistematis memberikan bukti kuat untuk menolak hipotesis nol, yang menegaskan bahwa kemajuan kemampuan siswa merupakan dampak langsung dari efektivitas media pembelajaran tersebut. Dengan demikian, media visual berbasis teknologi ini terbukti menjadi sarana yang efektif, handal, dan interaktif dalam membantu anak tunarungu memahami komunikasi isyarat secara lebih mendalam. Integrasi teknologi AR menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi hambatan belajar serta meningkatkan literasi awal anak berkebutuhan khusus secara konkret dan menyenangkan.

Education is a fundamental right for every citizen, including children with hearing impairments. This study examines the influence of Augmented Reality (AR)-based SIBI (Indonesian Sign Language System) Flashcards on the mastery of letters A-Z among six Phase A students at SLBN Pandaan. Employing a quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design, data were collected through practical and written tests, and subsequently analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results demonstrate that AR-based media has a highly significant impact on the mastery of the SIBI alphabet. There was a marked improvement in student performance between the pre-treatment and post-treatment conditions. Statistical testing, conducted both manually and systematically, provided strong evidence to reject the null hypothesis, confirming that the progress in students' abilities was a direct result of the learning media's effectiveness. Consequently, this technology-based visual medium has proven to be an effective, reliable, and interactive tool in helping hearing-impaired children gain a deeper understanding of sign language communication. The integration of AR technology serves as an innovative solution to overcome learning barriers and enhance early literacy for children with special needs in a concrete and engaging manner.
