Penelitian ini tidak terlepas dari kondisi geografis Kabupaten Lumajang yang rawan bencana mengakibatkan  siswa harus memahami bencana alam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk m enghasilkan konstruksi masyarakat tentang dampak sosial bencana alam gunung Semeru di Kabupaten Lumajang dan Melakukan analisis konstruksi masalah sosial bencara alam gunung Semeru  yang digunakan sebagai sumber belajar IPS jenjang SMP di Kabupaten Lumajang Jawa Timur untuk mewujudkan SDGs. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi parsipatoris, dan dokumen. Analisi data yang dilakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, Kesimpulan dan verifikasi data

Hasil Penelitian ini yaitu (1) Bencana Alam erupsi Gunung Semeru yaitu peristiwa alam gunung aktif dan dapat mengeluarkan erupsi (2)Masyarakat tidak sadar akan tanda tanda yang ada sebelum terjadinya Bencana alam Erupi Gunung Semeru (3) Bencana Alam merupakan takdir dan ketetapan tuhan yang bisa terjadi kapanpun (4) Bencana alam erupsi Gunung Semeru ini semakin membuat hubungan antara masyarakat dengan pemerintah, masyarakat dan keluarga semakin harmonis (5) Masyarakat berupaya mencari keberadaan dan kondisi keluarga dengan bertanya ke orang yang mereka temui. Dan masalah sosial yang muncul yaitu (1) Hilangnya mata pencaharian meningkatkan kemiskinan(2) Masalah Sosial Munculnya kekacauan sosial(3)Kecemasan dan Kegelisahan Sosial akibat Trauma. Melalui penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belaar IPS di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Di Kabupaten Lumajang

This research is inseparable from the geographical conditions of Lumajang Regency which are prone to disasters, resulting in students having to understand natural disasters. The purpose of this study was to produce community constructions about the social impacts of the Mount Semeru natural disaster in Lumajang Regency and to carry out an analysis of the structure of the social problems of the Mount Semeru natural disaster which were used as social studies learning resources at the junior high school level in Lumajang Regency, East Java to realize the SDGs. . The design used in this study is a case study qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documents. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and data verification

The results of this study are (1) the natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Semeru, which is a natural event of an active volcano and can cause eruptions (2) the community is not aware of the signs that existed before the natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Semeru (3) natural disasters are destiny and divine decree can happen at any time (4) The natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Semeru has increasingly made the relationship between the community and the government, the community and family more harmonious (5) The community is trying to find the whereabouts and conditions of the family by asking people they meet. And the social problems that arise are (1) Loss of livelihood increases poverty (2) Social Problems The emergence of social chaos (3) Anxiety and Social Anxiety due to Trauma. Through this research, it can be used as a source of Social Studies learning at Junior High Schools in Lumajang Regency
