Jathil Obyog merupakan salah satu elemen dari kesenian Reog Obyog yang memiliki posisi sentral dalam pertunjukan tersebut. Jathil Obyog memiliki ragam gerak yang bermacam-macam seperti : massal, srampat, walang kekek, doger, dan jaipong. Alasan ketertarikan peneliti memilih objek perkembangan gaya tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo Periode 2000-2018 yaitu mengambil periode 2000-2018 dikarenakan pada tahun 2000 telah mulai muncul perkembangan pada gaya tari Jathil Obyog yang disebabkan oleh perkembangan musik yang sebelumnya biasa saja kamudian hadir campursari (lagon-lagon) dan jaipongan yang telah menghadirkan gaya tari yang berbeda-beda pada Jathil Obyog. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana sebenarnya perkembangan gaya tari Jathil Obyog Periode 2000-2018, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian secara mendalam. Rumusan masalah penelitian adalah 1) Bagaimana bentuk gerak tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo Periode 2000-2018 ? 2) Bagaimana perkembangan gaya tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo Periode 2000-2018 ? 3)Faktor-faktor apakah yang mempengaruhi perkembangan gaya tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo Periode 2000-2018? Untuk memecahkan rumusan masalah tersebut peneliti menggunakan teori para ahli yaitu: Teori Analisi Bentuk Gerak Sumandiyo Hadi Y. proses mewujudkan atau mengembangkan suatu bentuk dengan berbagai prinsip-prinsip bentuk menjadi sebuah wujud gerak tari. Teori analisis gaya gerak Sumandiyo Hadi Y. pengertian gaya dan kepenarian. Teori faktor ekstern dan intern Bastomi . Dari semua bagan kerangka berfikir tersebut untuk memecahkan masalah dalam judul Perkembangan Gaya Tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo Periode 2000-2018.

                Peneliti dalam penyusunan skripsi ini menggunakan metode pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah Perkembangan Gaya Tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo Periode 2000-2018. Lokasi penelitian ini di Kecamatan Bungkal, Kabupaten Ponorogo, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi menggunakan pendekatan triangulasi.

                Hasil penelitian yang didapat untuk menujukkan perkembangan gaya tari Jathil Obyog di Ponorogo periode 2000-2018 terletak pada bentuk gerak yang dimiliki masing-masing penari berbeda, bentuk gerak tersebut hadir dikarenakan Jathil Obyog telah memilliki gerak pakemnya. Memiliki perkembangan dari iringan yang semakin berkembang dengan berjalannya waktu. Gaya tari tersebut hadir karena faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya seperti faktor eksternal dan faktor internal.

                Simpulan pada penelitian ini adalah Perkembangan bentuk gerak hadir dikarenakan dari bentuk tubuh, struktur badan, dan teknik menari masing-masing Jathil Obyog berbeda. Perkembangan gaya Tari Jathil Obyog tercipta karena adanya gaya musik, gaya busana, dan gaya tata rias. Dipicu dengan hadirnya faktor ekstern dan intern yang memiliki dampak luar biasa pada perkembangan gaya tari Jathil Obyog.  

Jathil Obyog is one of the elements of the art of Reog Obyog which has a central position in the show. Jathil Obyog has various kinds of movements such as: mass, solid, walang, snob, and jaipong. The research problem formulation is 1) What is the form of Jathil Obyog dance in Ponorogo 2000-2018? 2) What is the development of the style of Jathil Obyog dance in Ponorogo for the period 2000-2018? 3) What factors influence the development of the Jathil Obyog dance style in Ponorogo in the 2000-2018 period? To solve the problem formulation the researcher uses the theory of experts, namely: Theory of Motion Form Analysis Sumandiyo Hadi Y. The process of realizing or developing a form with various forms of form becomes a form of dance. The theory of motion style analysis of Sumandiyo Hadi Y. understanding of style and dance. External and internal factor theory of Bastomi. From all the frameworks of thinking framework to solve the problem in the title Development of the Style of Jathil Obyog Dance in Ponorogo 2000-2018 Period.

 Researchers in the preparation of this paper use a qualitative research approach. The object of this research is the development of the style of Jathil Obyog dance in Ponorogo for the period 2000-2018. The location of this study was in Bungkal District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java Province. This researcher uses the method of observation, interviews, and documentation using a triangulation approach.

The results obtained to show the development of the Jathil Obyog dance style in Ponorogo in the period 2000-2018 lies in the form of motion that each dancer has differently, the form of the motion is present because Jathil Obyog has a standard of motion. Has a development of accompaniment that is growing with time. The dance style is present because of the influencing factors such as external factors and internal factors.

Conclusions in this study are the development of the form of motion present due to body shape, body structure, and dance techniques of each Jathil Obyog different. The development of the style of Jathil Obyog Dance was created because of the music style, fashion style, and makeup style. It was triggered by the presence of external and internal factors which had a tremendous impact on the development of Jathil Obyog dance style.
