Problem-solving ability, one of the skills needed in
21st Century, which is considered to be low shows that the
implemented-learnings are not able to facilitate students to practice and
apply the skill. This isue can be overcome by implementing Project-Based
Learning (PBL) model that carry out an innovation, in this research is to
orient it to ecopreneurship concept, in order to gain more maximal results. Based
on the description, this research aims to analyze the enhancement of sudents’
problem-solving skill and describe their project creation capabilities, learning responses, and
interest in ecopreneurship. The type of this reasearch is descriptive
quantitative with True Experimental Methods and
Control Group
Pre-Test and Post-Test Design, which is
applied to 49 science-majored
sophomore students in SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari, Mojokerto which are chosen by purposive sampling
technic. The instruments of this research include problem-solving pre-test and
post-test, project-making skill observation sheet, learning response
questionnaire, and ecopreneurship interest questionnaire. Problem-solving
pre-test and post-test results is analyzed using Mann-Whitney test and
normalized gain test, meanwhile project-making skill observation sheet,
learning response questionnaire, and ecopreneurship results are analyzed
descriptive-quantitatively and catagorized
based on the
criteria which have been specified. Based
on the data analysis, the results obtained are: (1) there are significant difference
between students’ problem-solving skill in the experimental class and the
control class, where the score of n-gain in the experimental class is 0,83 in a
high criteria whereas the control class is 0.53 in a medium criteria, (2) students’ project creation
capabilities earn a percentage of 68% in a very
unfavorable
criteria and incompetent status, (3) students’ response to the implementation
of ecopreneurship-oriented PBL is in a very well criteria with an average
percentage of 83%, and (4) students’ interests of ecopreneurship
after implementing ecopreneurship-oriented PBL is in a very good criteria with
an average percentage of 81%. It can be concluded that ecopreneurship-oriented PBL model is able to
enhance students’ problem-solving skill, apply further to practice students’
project-making skill, and grow students’ interest and awareness related to the
environment isues around them.
