TRADHISI METHIK KOPI ING DHUSUN LAHARPANG DESA PUNCU KECAMATAN PUNCU KABUPATEN KEDIRI (TINTINGAN FOLKLOR SETENGAH LESAN)
METHIK KOPI TRADITION IN LAHARPANG HAMLET, PUNCU VILLAGE, PUNCU SUBDISTRICT, KEDIRI REGENCY (A SEMI-ORAL FOLKLORE STUDY)
Kebudayaan merupakan sebuah hasil karya manusia yang harus dilestarikan, karena manusia dan kebudayaan adalah dua unsur yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lain. Salah satu bentuk kebudayaan adalah tradhisi. Tradhisi methik kopi merupakan bentuk folklor setengah lisan yang masih dilestarikan oleh masyarakat Dhusun Laharpang, Desa Puncu, Kecamatan Puncu, Kabupaten Kediri. Tradisi ini dilaksanakan setiap tahun pada Bulan Suro atau Bulan Besar dan diharuskan di Hari Jumat Legi, sebaagai ungkapan rasa syukur terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan penghormatan terhadap alam serta leluhur, yang diyakini sebagai penjaga kesuburan tanah di Dhusun Laharpang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: (1) menjelaskan asal mula tradhisi methik kopi, (2) menggambarkan tata cara pelaksanaanya, (3) mengidentifikasi perlengkapan serta makna simboliknya, (4) menjelaskan piguna sosial budaya tradhisi methik kopi, (5) mengkaji perubahan yang terjadi dalam tradhisi ini, dan (6) mendeskripsikan upaya pelestariannya. Teori yang digunakan didalam asal mula adalh teori folklor menurut Danandjaja, bab makna dan simbol teori dari Liliweri, bab fungsi dari Bascom, bab perubahan teori dari Sukarman, dan bab pelestarian budaya teori dari Sendjadja. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tradhisi methik kopi tumbuh dari kepercayaan dan penghormatan terhadap leluhur. Tradhisi methik kopi di Dhusun Laharpang Desa Puncu, Kecamatan Puncu, Kabupaten Kediri terdiri atas rangkaian tata laku, ubarampe (perlengkapan upacara) yang mengandung makna simbolis serta nilai-nilai budaya. Tradhisi ini terbagi dalam tiga tahapan utama: Titi siyaga (persiapan), Titi laksana (pelaksanaan), dan Titi wasana (penutup), yang masing-masing memiliki urutan prosesi dan makna filosofis tersendiri. Ubarampe seperti kepala kambing, sega golong, ayam panggang, kembang setaman, jenang sengkala, dan sesajen melambangkan hubungan harmonis antara manusia, alam, dan Tuhan. Tradhisi methik kopi memiliki piguna sosial dan spiritual bagi masyarakat. Meskipun mengalami perubahan akibat modernisasi, nilai-nilai dasarnya tetap terjaga. Upaya pelestarian tradhisi methik kopi dilakukan oleh masyarakat, pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, dan media sosial agar tradisi ini tetap lestari dan dapat diwariskan kepada generasi mendatang.

Culture is a product of human creativity that must be preserved, as humans and culture are two inseparable elements. One form of culture is tradition. Methik kopi tradition is a form of semi-oral folklore that is still preserved by the community of Laharpang Hamlet, Puncu Village, Puncu District, Kediri Regency. This tradition is carried out annually in the month of Suro or Besar and must take place on Friday Legi as an expression of gratitude to Almighty God and as a form of respect for nature and ancestors, who are believed to be the guardians of land fertility in Laharpang Hamlet. The objectives of this study are: (1) to explain the origin of the methik kopi tradition, (2) to describe its implementation procedures, (3) to identify the ritual equipment and their symbolic meanings, (4) to explain the socio-cultural functions of the tradition, (5) to examine the changes that have occurred in the tradition, and (6) to describe efforts for its preservation. The theories applied in this study include Danandjaja’s folklore theory for the discussion of origins, Liliweri’s theory of meaning and symbols, Bascom’s theory of function, Sukarman’s theory of change, and Sendjaja’s theory of cultural preservation. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.
The results show that the methik kopi tradition originated from beliefs and respect for ancestors. In Laharpang Hamlet, Puncu Village, Puncu District, Kediri Regency, this tradition consists of a series of ritual practices and ubarampe (ritual equipment) that contain symbolic meanings and cultural values. The tradition is divided into three main stages: Titi Siyaga (preparation), Titi Laksana (implementation), and Titi Wasana (closing), each of which has its own sequence of processions and philosophical meanings. Ritual items such as a goat’s head, sega golong, roasted chicken, kembang setaman, jenang sengkala, and offerings symbolize the harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and God. The Methik Kopi Tradition has social and spiritual functions for the community. Although it has undergone changes due to modernization, its fundamental values remain preserved. Efforts to preserve the Methik Kopi Tradition are carried out by the community, government, educational institutions, and social media to ensure that this tradition continues and can be passed on to future generations.
