DIFFERENCES OF LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS BASED ON WHATSAPP GROUP AND GOOGLE MEET PLATFORMS IN CLASS XI STUDENTS IN THE COVID19 PANDEMIC
Pandemi covid 19 mengakibatkan diberlakukannya pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat oleh pemerintah. Lembaga belajar, termasuk sekolah, menerapkan kegiatan belajar mengajar daring guna memutus rantai penyebaran covid-19. Salah satu sekolah, yakni SMAN 1 Cerme, menerapkan pembelajaran daring dengan platform Whatsapp Group. Penggunaan Whatsapp Group dinilai memiliki efektivitas yang rendah yang ditinjau melalui hasil belajar. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan platform pembelajaran alternatif, yakni Google Meet. Platform Google Meet lebih efektif daripada Whatsapp Group ditinjau melalui fitur yang ada. penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis Whatsapp Group, Google Meet, dan perbandingan efektivitas keduanya pada siswa kelas XI dengan materi kebijakan fiskal dan moneter di masa pandemic COVID-19 di SMA Negeri 1 Cerme. Penelitian ini berjenis eksperimental dengan metode quasi eksperimen. kelompok eksperimen dipilih kelas XI IPA 6 dengan treatment menggunakan Google Meet, sedangkan kelompok kontrol XI IPA 4 menggunakan treatment Whatsapp Group. Kedua kelas tersebut menggunakan metode pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Kesimpulan yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah: Penggunaan platform Whatsapp Group dalam pembelajaran memberikan pengaruh signifikan secara positif terhadap hasil belajar; Penggunaan platform Google Meet dalam pembelajaran memberikan pengaruh signifikan secara positif; dan Platform pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen, yakni Google Meet, memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the government has imposed restrictions on public activities. Learning institutions, including schools, are implementing online learning as an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19. One of the schools, namely SMAN 1 Cerme, implements online learning with the Whatsapp Group platform. The use of Whatsapp Groups is considered to have low effectiveness which is reviewed through learning outcomes. The low effectiveness of Whatsapp Groups can be overcome by using a new learning platform, namely Google Meet. The Google Meet platform is more effective than Whatsapp Group in terms of existing features. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of learning based on Whatsapp Group, Google Meet, and a comparison of the effectiveness of the two in class XI students with material on fiscal and monetary policy during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Cerme. This research is an experimental type with a quasi-experimental method. the experimental group selected class XI IPA 6 with treatment using Google Meet, while the control group XI IPA 4 used the Whatsapp Group treatment. Both classes use the same learning method, namely Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 1) The use of the Whatsapp Group platform in learning has a significant positive effect on learning outcomes; 2) The use of the Google Meet platform in learning has a significant positive effect; 3) The learning platform applied to the experimental class, namely Google Meet, has a greater influence.
