REFUSAL DI SMK SEMEN GRESIK
APPLICATION OF SELF MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES
WITH INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING SERVICES FOR
STUDENTS EXPERIENCED SCHOOL REFUSAL AT
SEMEN GRESIK VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
Fenomena school refusal dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa
faktor seperti faktor pribadi dan faktor lingkungan sekolah.
Beberapa contoh penyebab fenomena school refusal seperti,
kurangnya jam tidur karena begadang, kurangnya
keterampilan untuk bergaul dengan teman sebaya,
kecemasan karena pernah mendapat hukuman dari guru, dan
sebagainya. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini untuk
mengetahui hasil dari penerapan pemberian treatment konseling
individu teknik self management terhadap school refusal pada
peserta didik kelas X SMK Semen Gresik. Teknik yang
digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data awal ialah dengan cara
meganalisis data presensi kehadiran peserta didik dan juga
menyebar angket pre-test kepada peserta didik kelas X.
Teknik analisis dan pengelolahan data menggunakan Pretest
Posttest One-Group Design. Hasil dari pemberian layanan
konseling individu teknik self management ini terbukti dapat
menurunkan tingkat school refusal pada peserta didik. Peneliti
dapat membuktikan hal tersebut dengan melakukan analisis
data menggunakan uji paired t-test dengan hasil signifikansi (2-
tailed)<0,05, hasil signifikansi yang didapatkan peneliti adalah
0,000<0,005 yang berarti terdapat perubahan signifikan
penurunan school refusal setelah penerapan konseling
individu dengan teknik self management. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan guru bk tetap memberikan bantuan kepada peserta didik yang mengalami hambatan dan
mengalami school refusal dengan penyebab apapun. Penelitian
ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti
selanjutnya dengan teknik konseling yang berbeda dan lebih
efektif.
The phenomenon of school refusal can be caused by several
factors such as personal factors and school environmental
factors. Some examples of the causes of school refusal
phenomena such as lack of sleep due to staying up late, lack
of skills to get along with peers, anxiety due to being
punished by a teacher, and so on. The purpose of this research
was to find out the results of applying individual counseling
treatment with self- management techniques to school refusal
in class X students of Semen Gresik Vocational School. The
technique used to collect the initial data is by analyzing the
attendance data of students and also distributing pre-test
questionnaires to class X students. The data analysis and
processing technique uses the Pretest Posttest One-Group
Design. The results of providing individual counseling
services with self-management techniques are proven to
reduce the level of school refusal in students. The researcher
was able to prove this by analyzing the data using the paired
t- test with a significance result (2-tailed) <0.05, the
significance result obtained by the researcher was 0.000
<0.005 which means there was a significant change in the
reduction in school refusal after the application of individual
counseling with self-management technique. With this
research, it is hoped that counseling teachers will continue to provide assistance to students who experience obstacles and experience school refusal for any reason. This research is
expected to be a reference for further researchers with
different and more effective counseling techniques.
