Pengalaman Celebrity Worship pada Wanita Dewasa Awal Penggemar K-Pop
Celebrity Worship among Early Adult Women K-Pop Fans
Penelitian psikologi kualitatif ini berusaha mengungkap pengalaman celebrity worship perempuan dewasa awal yang menggemari K-Pop dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semiterstruktur bersama kelima partisipan, yaitu perempuan yang menggemari K-Pop. Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) atas data penelitian menghasilkan tiga tema induk: a) pengalaman celebrity worship, b) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship, dan c) proses celebrity worship. Tema pertama menjelaskan tentang dimensi celebrity worship yang dialami oleh partisipan. Tema kedua merujuk pada faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship. Tema ketiga menampilkan proses para partisipan hingga mereka sampai pada perilaku celebrity worship. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa kelima partisipan memiliki celebrity worship hingga ke dimensi kedua yaitu intense-personal feeling dimana mereka merasakan perasaan yang kuat pada selebritas yang mereka sukai. Namun, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship ditemukan tidak signifikan terhadap celebrity worship mereka.

This qualitative psychological study aim to uncover the celebrity worship experiences of early adult women who are fans of K-Pop using phenomenological approach. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with five participants, women who like K-Pop. The interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) of research data produced three main themes: a) celebrity worship experience, b) factors that influence celebrity worship, and c) celebrity worship process. The first theme explains the dimensions of celebrity worship experienced by participants. The second theme refers to the factors that influence celebrity worship. The third theme displays the participants' process until they arrive at celebrity worship behavior. This study concluded that the five participants had celebrity worship up to the second dimension, namely intense-personal feelings, where they felt strong feelings for the celebrities they liked. However, the factors that influence celebrity worship were found to be insignificant to their celebrity worship.
