In supporting the Indonesia 2045 programme, improving the quality of education in line with the functions and objectives of national education can be achieved through extracurricular activities such as theatre arts. This study examines the function of theatre arts education management in the Songgolangit Creative Space community, Bathara Sandiwara division, which focuses on developing creative spaces and community regeneration strategies through arts education. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and literature studies. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The management theory used refers to Terry's teory, which includes four main functions: planning, organising, mobilising, and controlling.
The results of the study show that these four management functions have been effectively implemented in the management of theatre arts education. Planning includes long-term programmes such as participation in FLS2N, theatre parades, colossal dramas commemorating Heroes' Day, and community regeneration carried out over a period of one to two years, as well as short-term programmes such as training methods and routine exercises carried out over a period of six months to one year. Organisation is carried out by dividing the community structure into training, artistic creation, and performance production teams. Mobilisation runs in line with the implementation of the designed programme. Control is carried out through supervision and evaluation by the community leader and division head as an effort to assess the success of the programme.
The conclusion of this study shows that the application of management functions in theatre arts education at Songgolangit Creative Space is effective and efficient, and contributes positively to achieving national education goals through the creation of creative spaces and community regeneration strategies.
