Analysis The Office Layout in PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tata ruang kantor di PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 3 pegawai bagian Tata Usaha dan Kepegawaian & Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada analisis model Miles dan Huberman dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Ruang Tata Usaha Dekan PDAM Suya Sembada Kota Surabaya belum menerapkan prinsip jarak terpendek dalam penataan ruangan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan penempatan lemari arsip dan lemari pengisi yang jauh dari tempat duduk pegawai sehingga harus berjalan kaki ketika akan mengambil arsip, dokumen atau arsip yang dibutuhkan pada saat bekerja. Dengan menempatkan lemari arsip dan filling cabinet yang jauh dari tempat duduk pegawai membuat pemborosan waktu dan tenaga, sehingga efisiensi kerja tidak dapat tercapai.(2) Penataan ruang kantor dekanat PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya telah menerapkan prinsip kerja. berantai, karena semua ruangan sudah diatur sesuai alur prosedur kerja masing-masing departemen.(3) Bagian Tata Usaha Dekan PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya belum menerapkan prinsip penggunaan semua ruangan, karena berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti menemukan bahwa ada komposisi mereka dan lokasinya belum seimbang. Di suatu ruangan masih ada yang besar dan kosong, sedangkan di sisi lain ruangan itu ada penumpukan, baik penumpukan staf, peralatan atau perlengkapan. (4) Penataan ruang administrasi dekan PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya belum menerapkan prinsip perubahan tata ruang kerja secara optimal. Walaupun sebenarnya setiap ruangan diatur dengan tipe terbuka yang memungkinkan perubahan penataan tempat kerja sesuai kebutuhan, namun penataannya sudah berpola, sehingga sulit diubah jika diperlukan.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the office layout in PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 3 administration and personnel &Occupational, Safety and Health (K3) employees. The data analysis technique used refers to the analysis of Miles and Huberman model using triangulation of sources and research instruments in the form of interviews and documentations. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Administration office room of dean of PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City has not yet shortest distance principle in room arrangement. This is showed by archive cabinet placement and filling cabinet which is far from the seat of staff so that they have to walk when they will take a file, document or archive which is needed at the moment of work. By placing archive cabinet and filling cabinet which is far from staf seat make the wasting time and energy, so that the work efficiency can not be reached.(2) Administration office room arrangement of dean of PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City has applied principle of work chain, because all of rooms have been arranged according to the flow of work procedure of each departments.(3)Administration office of dean of PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City has not yet applied principle of using all rooms, because based on observation of the researcher founded that there is their compotition an it’s location has not been balanced. In a room there is still large and empty , while in another side of that room there is accumulation , both accumulation of staffs, tools or equipments. (4) The arrangement of administration office room of dean of PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City has not yet applied principle of the change of work place arrangement optimally. Although in fact each of room is arranged with open type which enables change of work place arrangement according to the need, but the arrangement has been patterned, so that it is difficult to be changed, if it is needed.
