PERSOALAN SOSIAL DALAM NOVEL CIKUYA, 15730 KARYA SUNGGING RAGA: KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA GEORG SIMMEL

SOCIAL PROBLEMS IN THE NOVEL CIKUYA, 15730 by SUNGGING RAGA: GEORG SIMMEL'S SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY OF LITERATURE

Persoalan sosial tidak hanya terjadi dalam kehidupan manusia, melainkan juga dialami oleh tokoh-tokoh dalam karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persoalan sosial berupa 1) kesadaran individu, 2) interaksi sosial, 3) struktur sosial, 4) kebudayaan objektif, 5) uang dan nilai, dan 6) kerahasiaan yang terjadi dalam novel Cikuya, 15730 karya Sungging Raga. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sosiologi sastra Georg Simmel dengan enam pokok pemikiran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari novel Cikuya, 15730 karya Sungging Raga. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik catat. Adapun teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Berdasarkan tujuan yang telah disebutkan di atas, maka hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) kesadaran individu ditunjukkan oleh para tokoh berdasarkan dorongan yang doperoleh dari interaksi mereka dengan tokoh lain, 2) interaksi sosial terjadi antara dua kelompok meliputi jumlah, tipe dan bentuknya, 3) struktur sosial terlihat dari kedudukan dan kepimilikan tokoh terhadap sesuatu yang tidak banyak dimiliki oleh tokoh lain, 4) kebudayaan objektif lahir dari kebiasaan masyarakat Chikuya dari zaman dulu dan masih terus berlanjut, 5) uang dan nilai terlihat dari kehidupan masyarakat Cikuya yang rela menempuh jalan apa saja demi mendapatkan barang tersebut seperti merantau bahkan melakukan tindak kriminalitas, dan 6) kerahasiaan yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh bertujuan untuk menghindari persoalan baru dan mendapatkan keuntungan dari kerahasiaan yang dilakukan.

Social problems do not only occur in human life, but also experienced by characters in literary works. This study aims to describe social problems in the terms of 1) individual awareness, 2) social interaction, 3) social structure, 4) objective culture, 5) money and values, and 6) occurred in secrecy in the novel of Cikuya 15730 by Sungging Raga. The theory used in this study is Georg Simmel's literature sociology with six main ideas. This study used a sociological approach with a qualitative descriptive method. The data and the sources in this study were obtained from the novel of Cikuya, 15730 by Sungging Raga. The data collection technique was a note-taking technique. The data analysis technique was a descriptive analysis method. Based on the research objectives, the results of the study are: 1) the individual awareness is shown by the characters based on the earned encouragement from their interactions with other characters, 2) the social interactions occur between two groups including the number, type and shape, 3 ) the social structure can be observed from character’s position and ownership towards things that are not widely owned by other characters, 4) the objective culture was born from the habits of the Chikuya people from ancient times and continuing, 5) the money and value can be observed from the lives of the Cikuya people who are willing to get the good in various ways such as wandering even committing crimes, and 6) the occurred in secrecy carried out by the characters aims to avoid new problems and to profit from the carried out secrecy.
