Posisi Perempuan Dalam Media Indozone.Id Dan Okezone.com: Kajian Wacana Kritis Sara Mills

The Position of Women in Indozone.Id and Okezone.com Media: Sara Mills' Critical Discourse Study

Ketidakadilan terhadap perempuan juga terjadi dalam berita yakni hal yang dialami oleh perempuan, seperti perempuan yang menjadi objek pembicaraan dan kemunculan perempuan diwakili oleh aktor lain hingga menimbulkan posisi yang termaginalkan. Berita di Indonesia yang mengenai perkosaan, pelecehan, berita-berita yang menampilkan perempuan sebagai objek pemberitaan. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan (1) posisi perempuan dalam media massa Okezone.com dan media sosial Instragram Indozone.id (2) posisi subjek-objek dan posisi penulis-pembaca dalam berita yang diterbitkan oleh Indozone.id dan Okezone.com. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa teks berita tentang perempuan yang ada di media massa Okezone.com dan media sosial Instagram Indozone.id selama Mei 2021. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi dengan teknik baca dan catat. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Teori Wacana Sara Mills yang digunakan untuk menjawab masalah penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat bias gender dalam Okezone dan Indozone yang terdiri atas empat hal, yakni (1) posisi perempuan dalam pemberitaan Indozone.id cenderung termarginalkan yang dibuktikan dari peristiwa dilihat melalui pihak kepolisian dan pelaku; subjek pemberitaan dari penulis dan kepolisian; objek pemberitaan cenderung korban (perempuan); (2) posisi perempuan dalam media sosial Okezone.com cenderung termarginalkan; perempuan ditempatkan sebagai objek, mendapatkan sebutan buruk (penggoda), pembaca dan objek imajinasi bagi pembaca; (3) posisi subjek-objek cenderung pihak kepolisian, penulis, (bisa merangkap pelaku); korban cenderung menjadi objek pemberitaan yang diceritakan oleh pihak lain; (4) posisi penulis-pembaca dalam Indozone.id, penulis cenderung sebagai pencerita kronologis dan berpihak kepada korban, sedangkan pembaca dapat memosisikan diri sebagai korban karena penulis menggiring pembaca untuk berempati kepada korban. Posisi penulis-pembaca dalam berita di Okezone.com yakni penulis cenderung menempatkan perempuan objek perbandingan dengan perempuan lain dan imajinasi pembaca yang dapat dinikmati kapan pun, menunjukkan perempuan sebagai orang yang tidak baik (penggoda) bagi pembaca. Posisi pembaca dalam berita di Okezone.com yaitu pembaca digiring untuk menyetujui opini penulis dan pembaca menempatkan posisi mereka ke dalam kelompok penulis.

Injustice to women also occurs in the news, namely, things that are experienced by women, such as women who are the object of discussion and the appearance of women being represented by other actors to create a marginalized position. News in Indonesia about rape, harassment, news that presents women as objects of news. Based on these conditions, the purpose of this study is to describe (1) the position of women in the Okezone.com mass media and Indozone. id social media (2) the subject-object position and the writer- reader position in the news published by Indozone. id and Okezone. com. The data sources of this research are news texts about women in the Okezone.com mass media and Indozone.id Instagram social media during May 2021. Data collection uses the documentation method with reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis uses Sara Mills' Discourse Theory technique which is used to answer research problems. The results of this study indicate that there is a gender bias in Okezone and Indozone which consists of four things, namely (1) the position of women in Indozone. id reporting tends to be marginalized as evidenced by events seen through the police and perpetrators; the subject of reporting from the writer and the police; the object of the news tends to be the victim (woman); (2) the position of women in Okezone.com social media tends to be marginalized; women are placed as objects, get bad names (tempters), readers and objects of imagination for readers; (3) the position of the subject-object tends to be the police, the writer, (can be concurrently the perpetrator); the victim tends to become the object of news that is told by other parties; (4) the writer-reader position in Indozone. id, the writer tends to be a chronological narrator and side with the victim, while the reader can position himself as a victim because the writer leads the reader to empathize with the victim. The writer-reader position in the news at Okezone.com is that the author tends to place women as objects of comparison with other women and the imagination of readers who can be enjoyed at any time, showing women as people who are not good (tempters) for readers. The position of readers in the news at Okezone.com is that readers are led to agree with the author's opinion and readers place their position into the author's group
