Penerapan Metode Audio-Lingual Dalam Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Inggris Siswa Tunanetra
Application of Audio-Lingual Methods in English Speaking Skills For Blind Students
Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris berdasarkan fakta bahwa dibutuhkan sebuah metode berkompeten untuk keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa tunanetra. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode audio-lingual dalam kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris pada siswa tunanetra. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan mengambil data dari platform digital Google Schoolar yang berisi jurnal terakreditasi, prosiding, dan tesis. Data yang didapatkan selanjutnya dibandingkan dan ditelaah sehingga mendapatkan pendapat dari berbagai ahli sebagai pembahasan penelitian. Kemudian data disimpulkan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai tujuan penelitian Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur metode audio-lingual terdiri atas: (1) penyajian dialog yang diperdengarkan secara berulang ulang; (2) menirukan dan menghafal dialog; (3) penyajian dialog yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa dengan kegiatan pengulangan; (4) kegiatan memperagakan dialog di depan kelas; (5) pembentukkan kalimat lain sesuai dengan pola kalimat yang telah dilatihkan. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan dalam metode audio-lingual berupa: repetition drill, inflection drill, replacement drill, completion drill, backward build-up (exspansion drill), Single slot substation drill, Chain drill.
In learning English based on fact that a competent method is needed for English speaking skills of blind students. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the audio-lingual method in English speaking skills of blind students. The research uses the literature study method by taking data from the Google Scholar digital platform which contains accredited journals, proceedings, and theses. The obtained data are then compared and analysed to get opinions from various expert as a research discussion. Then was concluded to obtain result that were in accordance with the research objective. The results showed that the procedure for the audio-lingual method consisted of: (1) presenting a dialogue that was played over and over again (2) imitating and memorizing the dialogue; (3) presenting dialogues that are considered difficult by students with repetition activities; (4) activities demonstrating dialogue in front of the class: (5) forming other sentences according to the sentence patterns that have been trained. While the techniques used in the audio-lingual method are: repetition drill, inflection drill, replacement drill, completion drill, backward build-up (expansion drill), Single slot substation drill, Chain drill.
