Pengamanan data menggunakan metode kryptografi bersifat mengacak pesan sehingga tidak mudah dimengerti, namun masih menimbulkan kecurigaan sedangkan Steganografi merupakan seni menyembunyikan informasi sehingga tidak terlihat dengan tanpa mengacak informasi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyisipkan pesan yang dienkripsi dengan Vigenere Cipher dengan metode penyisipan 2 Least Significant Bit pada cover gambar RGB. Hasil pengujian PSNR pada media cover gambar dengan 3 jenis yaitu: gambar background, gambar alam dan gambar rongsen dengan penyisipan data teks berukuran 10kb, 50kb, 100kb, 340kb menunjukkan bahwa PSNR pada gambar background rata-rata 51,8 persen, gambar alam rata-rata 50,6 persen, dan pada gambar rongsen rata-rata 50,7 persen, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode 2 LSB yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori bagus karena PSNR>40 persen.

Data security using the cryptographic method is scrambling the message so it is not easy to understand, but still raises suspicion while Steganography is the art of hiding information so it is not visible without scrambling the information. This study aims to insert messages that are encrypted with Vigenere Cipher by inserting 2 Least Significant Bit methods on the RGB image cover. PSNR test results on image cover media with 3 types, namely: background images, natural images and images with the insertion of text data size of 10kb, 50kb, 100kb, 340kb shows that the PSNR on background images is an average of 51.8 percent, natural images are average an average of 50.6 percent, and on the drawings of an average of 50.7 percent, so it can be concluded that the 2 LSB method used in this study is included in the good category because PSNR> 40 percent.
