PENERAPAN TEKNIK MATELASE MOTIF RELIEF BOROBUDUR PADA EVENING WEAR

Candi Borobudur merupakan tempat suci peninggalan agama Budha. Pada candi Borobudur salah satu yang menjadi komponen utama adalah relief Borobudur. Busana pesta malam terinspirasi dari candi Borobudur yang dihiasi dengan relief – relief Borobudur. Relief tersebut diterapkan pada busana dengan teknik matelase. Relief yang diterapkan adalah relief bangunan suci dan relief kehidupan maritim. Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil jadi penerapan teknik matelase motif relief Borobudur pada evening wear.

Metode rekayasa penerapan teknik matelase motif relief Borobudur melalui beberapa tahapan, mulai dari mencari sumber ide, merencanakan warna, membuat desain busana. Proses penerapan matelase pada busana, dimulai dari merencanakan motif relief yang akan diterapkan, menyiapkan alat dan bahan. Pada busana pesta ini menggunakan warna netral yaitu hitam dan abu – abu dan warna kuning yang merupakan warna tersier. Siluet busana pesta diambil dari siluet candi Borobudur yaitu siluet A. Pengambilan data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan indikator tujuh aspek penilaian.

Proses penerapan teknik matelase motif relief Borobudur dilakukan dengan cara menyiapkan motif, menggunting  menjiplak pola motif,  menjahit tindas mengikuti pola motif relief diatas bahan, Selanjutnya beberapa siluet motif relief dibordir  dan diinkrustasi pada motif relief yang cekung.

Hasil Jadi penerapan teknik matelase motif relief Borobudur pada evening wear memperoleh persentase tertinggi pada aspek kesesuaian perwujudan bentuk manipulating dengan sumber ide relief Borobudur ditinjau dari perbandingan ukuran dengan perolehan persentase 90% kategori baik karena pada busana ini perbandingan ukuran bentuk hiasan cape, peplum dan rok di sesuaikan dengan lebarnya bahan, jarak antar motif relief diperhatikan sehingga menjadi suatu susunan yang pas. dan kesesuaian jenis manipulating menurut sumber ide dengan perolehan persentase 90% kategori baik karena pada busana ini jenis manipulatinng yang dipilih sesuai dengan sumber ide relief Borobudur, dan sesuai dengan teori matelase.

THE APPLICATION OF THE BOROBUDUR RELIEF MOTIF WITH MATELASE TECHNIQUE IN EVENING WEAR

                    Borobudur Temple is a Buddhist heritage site. In Borobudur temple, one of the main components is Borobudur relief. Evening wear are inspired by the Borobudur temple which is decorated with Borobudur reliefs. The relief is applied to clothing with the matelase technique. Relief applied is a sacred building relief and relief of maritime life. The purpose of writing this Final Project is to find out the process and results of the application of Borobudur relief motifs in the evening wear.

                    The engineering method of applying the matelase technique of the Borobudur relief motif through several stages, ranging from finding the source of ideas, planning colors, making fashion designs. The process of applying matelase to clothing, starts from planning the relief motifs to be applied, preparing tools and materials. This evening wear  uses neutral colors, black and gray and yellow, which is a tertiary color. The evening wear silhouette is taken from the silhouette of Borobudur temple, which is silhouette A. Data collection uses descriptive analysis with seven aspects of assessment indicators.

                    The process of applying the Borobudur relief motif of matelase technique is done by preparing motifs, cutting tracing patterns, sewing presses following the pattern of relief motifs on the material. Next, some relief motif silhouettes are embroidered and incrusted in a concave relief motif.

                    Results So the application of Borobudur relief motifs in evening wear obtained the highest percentage in the conformity aspect of the form of manipulation with Borobudur relief source ideas in terms of size comparisons with a percentage of 90% good category because in this fashion the size of cape, peplum and skirts was compared in adjust to the width of the material, the distance between the relief motifs is considered so that it becomes an appropriate arrangement. and the suitability of the type of manipulation according to the source of ideas with a percentage of 90% good category because in this clothing the type of manipulatinng was chosen according to the Borobudur relief ideas, and in accordance with the matelase theory.
