IMPLEMENTING QUALITY ASSURANCE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE WORKPLACE (Multi-Site Study at SMKN 1 Cerme and SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi penjaminan mutu pendidikan kejuruan dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan dunia kerja di SMKN 1 Cerme dan SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan. Pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan studi multi-situs digunakan untuk memahami fenomena secara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam; observasi langsung pada kegiatan pembelajaran dan praktik; serta studi dokumentasi terhadap berbagai dokumen perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi mutu sekolah. Validasi data lintas sumber dilakukan untuk memastikan keabsahan temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua SMKN secara efektif mengimplementasikan penjaminan mutu dengan mengacu pada siklus PPEPP (Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Evaluasi, Pengendalian, dan Peningkatan Mutu). Perencanaan mutu secara konsisten didasarkan pada analisis kebutuhan dunia usaha dan industri (DUDI) serta melibatkan seluruh pemangku kepentingan. Pelaksanaan mutu diwujudkan melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project-based learning) dan teaching factory, program Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) yang intensif, serta pelibatan aktif guru tamu dari industri. Pengendalian mutu dilakukan melalui supervisi rutin dan monitoring berbasis kinerja, sementara evaluasi mutu menggunakan indikator Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP) yang diperkaya dengan tolok ukur kesiapan kerja lulusan.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of vocational education quality assurance to meet the needs of the workforce at SMKN 1 Cerme and SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan. A qualitative research approach with a multi-site study was used to understand the phenomenon in depth. Data were collected through in-depth interviews; direct observation of learning activities and practices; and documentation studies of various school quality planning, implementation, and evaluation documents. Cross-source data validation was conducted to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that both SMKNs effectively implement quality assurance by referring to the PPEPP cycle (Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Quality Improvement).The results of the study indicate that both SMKNs effectively implemented quality assurance by referring to the PPEPP cycle (Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Quality Improvement). Quality planning is consistently based on analysis of the needs of the business and industry (DUDI) and involves all stakeholders. Quality implementation is realized through project-based learning and teaching factories, intensive Field Work Practice (PKL) programs, and the active involvement of guest teachers from industry. Quality control is carried out through routine supervision and performance-based monitoring, while quality evaluation uses National Education Standards (SNP) indicators enriched with graduate work readiness benchmarks.
