The background of this research is
because of the low effectiveness and interest of students in vocational high
schools. The purpose of developing the Occupational Safety and Health module is
to meet the feasible and effective criteria to increase the interest and
effectiveness of class X students in Automotive Engineering at vocational high
school of Persatuan 2 Tulangan Sidoarjo
The
procedure for developing this teaching module uses the Luther Sutopo method
with the following stages: (1) Concept, (2) Design, (3) Material Collecting,
(4) Assembly, (5) Testing, (6) Distribution. Collecting teaching module
feasibility data using a questionnaire while collecting data on interest and
learning effectiveness using pretest and posttest. This media development activity
involves material experts, design experts, and linguists to get an assessment
of learning modules. The learning method used in this study uses the Discovery
Learning method with the development of quantitative descriptive. The next step
after the instruments are compiled is to carry out validity and reliability
tests which are useful to find out that each instrument is the right data
collection tool to use.
The learning method used in this
study uses the Discovery Learning method with descriptive development. The next
step after the instruments are compiled is to carry out validity and
reliability tests which are useful to find out that each instrument is the
right data collection tool to use.
The results of development research
on learning modules are categorized as feasible for use in the learning
process, the value obtained is 82.6% from material experts, an assessment from
design experts is 86%, an assessment from linguists is 85%, an assessment from
small group trials is 88% , the large group trial rating was 88%. Of all the
feasibility values based on the Likert scale, it is included in the very
feasible category to use. As for the increase in the pretest and posttest from
the results of the calculation of the N-Gain score, it obtained a value of 0.585
so that based on the N-Gain Score interpretation criteria, this value can be
stated that there is an increase in student learning outcomes that are included
in the medium category. Student interest in learning modules is 88% so that it
can be categorized as high, while the effectiveness of student learning in
learning multimedia is 82% so it can be categorized as effective.
