IMPLEMENTASI MODEL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SCIENTIFIC PROCESS SKILLS SISWA PADA MATERI KALOR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang (1) keterlaksanaan model Experiential Learning, (2) aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran dengan model Experiential Learning, (3) peningkatan Scientific Process Skills siswa melalui model Experiential Learning, dan (4) respon siswa terhadap model Experiential Learning. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pra-eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah one grup pre-test post-test design. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengamatan, tes, dan angket. Instrumen yang dikembangkan antara lain lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar kerja siswa, lembar soal pretest posstest, dan angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada pertemuan 1 memiliki modus 3 dengan kriteria baik, sedangkan pada pertemuan 2 dan 3 memiliki modus 4 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Aktivitas siswa setiap aspek yang diamati seluruhnya mengalami peningkatan dari pertemuan 1 hingga pertemuan 3. Peningkatan Scientific Process Skills diperoleh dari n-gain sebesar 0,82 dengan kriteria peningkatan tinggi. Persentase rata-rata siswa yang memberikan respon positif sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat baik.

This study aimed to describe about (1) the implementation of Experiential Learning Model, (2) the activity of students during the learning Experiential Learning Model, (3) improvement of student’s scientific process skills through an Experiential Learning Model and (4) the responses of students to the Experiential Learning Model. This type of research is experimental with pre-experimental design. The research design used is one group pre-test post-test design. Data collection methods used in this study are observation, tests and questionnaries. The instrument that used in this research are learning feasibility sheet, student activity sheets, sheets of pretest posttest, and questionnaire responses. The results showed that feasibility implementation of learning at the 1st meeting had a score mode 3 with “good” criteria, while at 2nd and 3rd meeting had a mode score 4 with “very good” criteria. The activities of students in every aspect observed all incrased from 1st to 3rd meeting. The increase in Scientific Process Skills was obtained from a n-gain of 0.82 with “high” improvement criteria. The average percentage of students who gave positive responses was 90% with a “very good” category.
